Took forever sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to answer our stall. My fiancĂ© is a manager of a Sonic but since we live close to 59th Ave and McDowell and his sonic is up north in Peoria we choose to come here vs driving all the way to his to order shakes. After waiting for a carhop to answer we place our order with Lindsey which is easy and quick then we wait 5 minutes and Abel brings us our âshakesâ which are actually sonic blasts which we point out to Abel since the âshakeâ didnât even have whipped cream or the cherry on top. Not to mention the ice cream was hard/thick which indicated it was a blast. Abel said no theyâre shakes and my fiancĂ© pointed out they definitely were not shakes and asked them to be remade. Iâll also mention my fiancĂ© had his face covering on which clearly has the Sonic logo on it. Abel takes the blasts back and comes back 2 minutes later having just added whip cream and cherries to the cups and he says âsorry thatâs the softest ice cream we have right nowâ my fiancĂ© took them back knowing he was lying and that they simply just didnât want to have to remake them as shakes because thereâs two separate machines for shakes and blasts. FiancĂ© asks me to stick a straw in my cup to see if I can drink it which I obviously canât since itâs a blast and NOT a shake. He got out of the car and took them to the door and asked for a refund the manager (who didnât have a name tag on but was wearing the signature manager sonic shirts) cancelled the order but instead of coming out and addressing the issue told Abel to come out and let us know she had cancelled the order. My fiancĂ© had to ask Abel to go inside and ask the manager to give us the order voided receipt. I donât know who the manger was it was just a tall blonde woman. Whole situation was drawn out and unnecessary all due to laziness on workerâs part. The place only had like 2...
Read moreWhere do I begin? First of all, although pretty friendly, the employee that we encountered, Zachary, looked incredibly unkempt and disheveled. His long hair was uncombed and his âuniformâ appeared as if it hadnât ever been washed. He looked as if he had slept there overnight. Someone should really check in with him. Second, we ordered two breakfast âtoastersâ. Now, we assumed by the name of the menu item, that it would indeed be toasted. To our dismay, it turned out to be a couple cold pieces of bacon, a slice of unmelted cheese and a sad square of soggy egg, lazily tucked between two UN-TOASTED slices of Texas bread. To say we were disappointed at the lack of effort put into what wouldâve been a tasty treat, is an understatement. We were traveling and werenât able to turn around to get our $15 back. We tried to call to talk to a manager but no one answered the phone. Sonic has always been one of our top places to grab some grub so I hope for business sake, they take the time to rectify these mistakes with some proper training and possibly pay more attention to their employeeâs work habits and appearance. Thank you for your time. P.S. I did enjoy my...
