I wanted to like this place... I really did... Went here after randomly finding it online. Living on the west side, this was a big drive, but wife and I made a day trip to get out and enjoy some time. But the staff was not very friendly, got there 5 minutes before 10, and didnt know the walk up "opens at 10" and so she said "I can give you a menu, but to order you have to get back in your car and drive thru." Ended up ordering on the app in the car waiting upon getting our drinks, it was a pretty big let down. Places like this that demand a tip when paying, is really annoying. The workers are just filling cups and handing them to you, they are not coming to your table, and bringing you items in your car, they are doing nothing more then a gas station attendant. Then the app wanted me to donate to two different charities while placing an order. Another shady practice for donating to things i've never heard of. The pretzel bites were good, but no napkins, no bags for stuff, they just hand you individual items as they grab them to hand you, no real one on one service with customers like "hows your day" or anything, just "what do you want?" "i see your order here, pull fwd" and then i get to the window and the person just starts handing items over one by one as she walks back and forth and carries on a conversation inside without paying any mind to the customers at the window. Was hoping this would be like a 20's or 50's style soda dinner, but its a coffee drive thru building and just soda fountain with syrup flavors they...

I am personally a big fan of swig, I am so happy to have something like this in AZ. Like the Dutch of soda shops. The unfortunate aspect of it that makes each visit a little unwelcoming is that the working conditions of the employees and flaw in the line tending. The girls working each location that I've been to (PV & Gilbert) tend to not be enthusiastic or welcoming, which I'm willing to give grace for bc it's hard to put on a face sometimes, but it's like every time :/ and they consistently mess up the drinks. which brings me to the fact that there's usually 1 girl outside in an Arizona summer while there's a good line of people and they switch out and a new person doesn't come back out for a good few minutes therefore backing up the line even worse. I feel like there is a lack of urgency with taking orders. It's important to provide things to assist the employees physically well-being when it's so hot. Personally, I think it's a domino effect. These ladies are out in the heat for too long without resources (mist fan, hats, cooking vest) , they can't provide exceptional customer service or put forth a little more effort. If I'm wrong about the employee conditions, I'd at least hope there's a change in...

This was my first visit ever to a Swig because we are from WA and don’t have any and are visiting. So this was my first impression. The drive through line was pretty long so my husband and I decided to go to their walk up window. We had dinner reservations and didn’t mind standing outside though it was a little chilly. It took about 5 mins before we were greeted by the most monotone young woman. I mean she really was giving nothing. After we ordered, two groups came up and one of the was able to order as well. After about 15 mins and it being very windy (so everyone was getting chilly) the girl comes back to the window and tells the other group that they should get back in their cars and go through the drive through because they prioritize their drive through and she doesn’t know when they’ll be able to get their drinks made out here. WHAT? Who says that? So after 30 mins we finally got our ONE drink that we ordered and we were late to our dinner reservation. It was ridiculous and the employee was just right out rude. The drink however was delicious! I got a Strawberry Breeze. So if you’re reading this debating if you want to try Swig, I’d try a different location or...

Swig has been all over my social media feed lately, so I had to drive out and see what the hype was about. The line was longer than expected and moved surprisingly slow, considering the menu is mainly sodas with syrups. We ordered a Dirty S.O.P., which is a Dr. Pepper with coconut and peach. It tasted good, but it was way too sweet for my liking. We also tried the Founder, a mix of Diet Coke, sugar-free coconut, fresh lime, and coconut cream, which had a much better balance of sweetness. The service was just okay—the drive-thru attendant seemed like she wanted to be anywhere else. Prices were reasonable, but the wait felt a bit excessive for a soda shop. I get the concept, but it didn’t really impress me. Nothing special about it.

My family ordered a few drinks and some cookies. The Shark attack was pretty tasty but on the sweeter side. The buttery beer was also good. My drink, Save Me Jade, only tasted of Dr. Pepper. I could not taste the addition of vanilla or coconut. The big letdown for me was the mini chocolate chip cookies. Nowhere on the site does it mention that the cookies are cold? They taste like dough, and you can't warm them up, or they turn mushy. When I see chocolate chip cookies on a menu, I think of a warm cookie, not cold. I wish that would have been mentioned on the menu, or I would not have bothered with them.

I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the ridiculously long lines every time I’ve tried going there. No joke, I’ve counted a minimum of 25 cars in line every time I’ve gone there, and ended up leaving a couple times because the line just wasn’t moving. I will say the drinks are tasty, the prices are decent, and the staff is friendly, but maybe hire more staff because no drink tastes that good to wait that long.
