My rating isn't about the food. Taco bell is taco bell. I don't really consider it to be Mexican food, just food in general. Way too many spots in Phoenix w delicious real Mexican food. Taco bell is not one of them. Anyway, my rating is because of how they are dealing w the post covid b.s. with the way that so many places will be closed except for drive thru if they're short staffed. It's lame but I get it. Now a days everywhere has an app that you can use to place an order with them and pick it up. I've utilized an app to place food orders this way at maybe 3 or 4 different places. Worked out just fine. That is until I tried it with taco bell. Disappointing. And actually I don't even know why they bother with it. I'm not saying everywhere has curbside pick up except taco bell, but everywhere I've ordered using the app has curbside pick up except taco bell. What's the point tho. I mean, you order thru the app and pick it up in the drive thru. So what's the difference between that and just going thru the drive thru like normal, without the app? Seriously. Is there a difference? Because at this taco bell location, if you order with the app you must pick it up in the drive thru. My point is that, if you aren't driving a car youre not getting squat. I don't know why..it's approximately 10 steps from the counter to the front door at this taco bell and for some reason they won't allow curbside pick up. And you can't walk thru the drive thru. So yeah I don't get it. I guess they are discriminating against people that don't drive. Lol. Oh well I guess it's a good thing I can totally live...

Bell apparently prides themselves on their vegan options and usually this location is awesome with the team and even the food is well put together. Today however I came through the drive to order my usual. The screen is far away from where you speak to the intercom and hard to read. I always do my best to be slow and concise when ordering so the employee has time to find what the need to in the POS. Today I was told the total and told to drive forward, my order wasn’t read back to me. But again this is my favorite Taco Bell in the area so I trusted them. I was so hungry I rushed home and took several bites only to realize there were no beans or potatoes. I was eating a normal crunch wrap supreme, fresco with just rice. I’ve have been vegan for over ten years so needless to say this was severely disappointing, I cried, did decide to call the location. I was met with the lame excuse of “oh I didn’t hear the black bean part, I’m sorry” and that was it. I’m so disappointed. Taco Bell needs to train their staff better on listening and vegan needs. Because you just lost a loyal customer, and guaranteed I’ll be letting my entire vegan community Taco can’t be trusted. Thank you for ruining my day and ten years of veganism. I made an online exclusive order at the Bethany and 18th location at Christown Mall-Do not go to that location. Don't waste your time. They will mess up your order, and this time they closed early. At least 30 minutes early because I got there at 7:28
If you order the meal for two in person it comes out to like $32 i paid 15 with add-ons.. I tried to redo the order and pay AGAIN for the 7th avenue and Indian School location as I'm speeding to that location before it closes at 8:00 I pull up 5 minutes before they close and Bri was able to get me my order at pretty much the same price even though it was an online exclusive because the app would not let me place to order and pay for it online because it was too close to closing time apparently 15 minutes prior the app did not let me complete the order. So I come to her window crying and she listens to me and helps me. I did end up paying again and it was around $17 but that's so much better than 32. This person deserves a raise she is so sweet and caring and she's the only reason that I am still a Taco Bell customer today.
