Chocolate Monkey — Restaurant in Pigeon Forge

Manager at this location was very rude about coupon usage. I had a coupon for a 1/2 lb free fudge when you purchase 1 lb. So before ordering, I asked a girl who was working the counter, if I could purchase a pound of any type of candy and get get the 1/2 lb fudge free. She said yes, and even verified with the other person working the counter. So I went ahead and got my purchase all ready and picked out my free fudge and was about to pay. Then the manager came out and started freaking out saying that we were wrong about the offer and was completely rude and would not honor what the girl had told me.

I understand that the girl may have been mistaken, but being in the field of customer service management, you make an exception for when something has been miscommunicated. Also, everything needs to be handled with kindness. I was being kind throughout the entire encounter, therefore, there was no need for this said manager to become exasperated.

Being from Ohio, I know a buckeye when I see one. Letting the lady know that the peanut butter portion should be round and not oblong like an actual eye, I was quickly corrected that they were Buck-eyes as if they are to mimic the eye of a deer rather than the nut that is our state nut. The Ohio State Buckeyes also have a magazine called bucknuts if you all aren't aware. The lady who served me was so nice and friendly, it was such a lovely experience to be served by her. We made the mistake of going to marble slab first, only for them to be out of a lot of things. My boys got something, but I was determined to get something I really wanted instead of settling. I found the Chocolate monkey 3 minutes away, and now they're jealous of my experience.
