Timberwood Grill — Restaurant in Pigeon Forge

Timberwood grill hum... When you arrive to grill at the island, it looks good. Then menu (no pricing) is outside, the grill has a stone look. When you walk into the grill they have a dark look inside, taxidermy animals everywhere which was nice. We were a party of 7 who arrived around 6pm. We were seated immediately. The server was nice but hardly could understand anything. We all order our drinks (came immediately), we ordered our food. Food didn't take long to come out. Most of us ordered a burger of some sorts. My youngest got the bacon cheeseburger (smoky burger or something like that) it comes with bacon, bbq sauce and cheese and burger). We asked for only cheese and bacon on the burger. Here comes his burger out, everything on it. We told the waiter that's not what was asked for. He takes it back comes immediately back with it. They took the burger scraped off the onions and bbq sauce (as much as they could) put it on a new bun. I told him that was unacceptable. The waiter said that's how they do things. They don't remake something so small. All the burgers were very over cooked, tough and dry to chew, bacon was like rocks on all our burgers. It took some might with your own hands to snap it. We explained to the server that we were unhappy with the food. The brisket sandwich was "pile high brisket" it had 3 slices of brisket. It was disgusting and dried out. We were very unhappy with service. We packed our food up and left. No one really ate, either left it or took it with us to try to doctor it up at the hotel. Then what puts the topping on the cake, we get extra charges to our account. We have contacted the restaurant to see about these charges with the extent of, a manager will call you back. 1 star for food. Someone completely forgot to season the steak. How does a cook not season a steak??? That's pretty basic. Not even a hint of salt. And DO NOT come here for the brisket! What a joke. It was horrible. I asked the waiter before ordering if it is made fresh daily and he said yes. It came out with a bottle of Bbq sauce poured on top. Not cooked on, just poured on after. I'm sure it was to hide what the brisket looked like. I've never seen such sad looking brisket in my life. The color and texture was off. No way it was fresh that day. The Jumbo wings weren't even fresh. They were all dried out and didn't have enough buffalo sauce on them to give any flavor. We had to ask for some extra and that helped but the chicken was still old and dry. The macaroni and cheese was bland and mushy. The golden nuggets also had an odd flavor and we didn't eat them. The french fries were good and the best thing we got was the campfire queso. The only thing I would recommend here is the campfire queso. It's chips and cheese dip with some soft pretzel sticks too. We loved it. 1 star for atmosphere because there's a weird, off smell when you walk in and I can't stand a stinky restaurant. Plus, the hostess sat us at the table right by the door in an almost empty restaurant. 2 places no one wants to sit is by the door or by the bathroom. 3 star for service because, although our waiter was friendly, he did lie about the brisket. 0 drinks, 1 meal, 3 appetizers and 1 kids meal cost us over $87. It was over $100 after the tip. I would never eat here again. It was wayyy too high for such poor quality food. And, the smell...

This was our first and last time at this restaurant… I would give this place a negative star rating if I was able! From the waiter refusing to care for us, to the actual manager who was worthless with zero customer service skills, and the food that was either raw or wrong, what a disappointment! There were 8 of us. Several dishes came out wrong and needed to be sent back to the kitchen, then when the dishes were returned to the table, they were still wrong! 2 people didn’t even get food until the manager was involved… My son’s hamburger was so overcooked it was like a hockey puck! We had to ask for refills. Drinks from the bar took extended amounts of time and had to be inquired on because the length of time which had passed. I could go on and on, but i won’t! I could understand if they were packed and super busy, but most tables were empty and staff were just hanging out. The only perk to this place was the young man who was training to be a manager tonight. He was beyond kind, and tried to rectify this horrible experience the best he was able…. I’m sure the worthless manager put him up to taking control of this situation because he couldn’t be bothered! Kudos to you, sir! Please, don’t waste your time or your money at this establishment.
