You start off with a no-nonsense, tough-as-nails knife maker who doesnât waste words â except to tell you exactly when youâre doing something wrong. Then you finish up with a comedian knife maker who has you laughing the whole time, like you accidentally wandered into some kind of dinner theater⌠except instead of bad food, you leave with a handmade knife you actually forged yourself.
I had a fantastic time. Thereâs something deeply satisfying about beating down a chunk of steel until it turns into something sharp and beautiful. I may or may not have joked about imagining it was my wife while hammering (kidding!). But seriously, if youâve got stress to let out, this is way better than a gym.
The best part? I canât stop staring at my knife. Itâs been 24 hours and my wife is already jealous because Iâve spent more time admiring this blade than I have looking at her. Totally worth it.
If youâre even remotely curious about knife making, do this. Youâll leave with a killer story, a one-of-a-kind knife, and probably sore arms â but also a big smile on your face.

Right up front: I want to say that I have done several different knife making experiences in the TN Pigeon Forge area. This one is a little more expensive but WELL worth the money. The knife quality, sharpness, and look of the blade was better then the other places. The knife sheath was also included.
Our best experience yet! Brent is an awesome guy. He was understanding, kind, and worked with my kids well.
We showed up with a group of 6 with our youngest being 8. Brent was so good with our little one, since our little one wanted to do the same knife as his brothers but he was not up for the task of swinging that hammer. Brent did things the best way possible and my little one didn't even know Brent was helping him out. No feelings were hurt and no extra drama đ
Overall, I highly recommend this as a family friendly activity that is safe. Little costly but will make way more memories then a dinner show and you have something that you...
Read moreOn our family vacation to Pigeon Forge last year, we learned too late that there were forges that were kid friendly to make their own knives, so this was the main purpose for coming back this year. Like many others, my wife chose Circle Bar T because of the reviews and feedback on the staff. And again, like others, it is entirely warranted. Mr. Brent was phenomenal with the kids (all ours are under 12), even my youngest who is very introverted and shy around others. Mr. Brent navigated each of their unique personalities, and left them with an experience that they won't forget, and was easily the highlight of our trip. The other staff was great too, and the kids got to choose their own little features for their knives (parents choice for sharpness for safety). One thing my wife and I loved was seeing all the signed poster boards hung up around the facility. Easily hundreds of signatures and messages from other happy customers. We're proud to have been able to leave our mark as well on the walls of...
