This review is intended for J&P Cycles Corporate, not any specific location. I have spent a few thousand dollars this past couple months. Every transaction was smooth. If there was an issue, and there have been a couple (to be expected), the frontline customer service agents have always been incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. I want to make that clear. Never an issue with frontline reps! They are top notch! The incident I am now referring to involved me paying $35 for overnight service. The front brake lines arrived this past Friday. As I was installing it, the last connector was HEAVILY corroded. Not quite unusable, but definitely would need to be changed out in a years time. So, I contacted customer service immediately. The lady was awesome. We were getting set to make a swap and I posed a question to her. “When these corroded brake lines are sent back, J&P cannot resell them, so do you mind if I finish installing them so I can test my system to see if I’ve successfully repaired them”? You should know that I rebuilt my engine with the S&S 100” Big Bore kit. Took it out for the initial 50 mile break in period and after 300 ft I realized I didn’t have front brakes. I immediately returned home. I bled the brakes, then rebuilt the front master cylinder (J&P), flushed the brakes, rebuilt both front calipers (J&P) and finally ordered all new front brake lines. The reps response was I couldn’t use them because J&P has to send them back to the vendor, which I completely understand, but! She was going to transfer me her supervisor (Kyle) to seek permission. I waited on the line and had a failed connection. Called back and was eventually transferred to Kyle. Here’s the fun, but mostly offensive part- Kyle introduced himself and said- “I heard you wanted to keep an item and not pay for it”. Wow! As you can imagine the rest of the phone call was neither cordial nor civilized. Long story short, we agree on a different brand, as I was far from impressed with Russell brand. We also agreed that it would be shipped overnight, as that was my original method. The next morning I see an email that Kyle has shipped my replacement brake line with the slowest possible delivery method that J&P offers. Suspecting that this was some form of retaliation on Kyle’s part, I called J&P back. They corrected the error and shipped overnight. Hold on— the next day I see an email, overnight is canceled and ONCE AGAIN! They shipped the slowest method. Keep in mind, after my conversation with Kyle, I Purchased a new Mustang Super Solo seat for $478. Obviously my business is not appreciated at J&P. They have since corrected the shipping to include overnight. So now I have two brake lines headed my way. I also requested a refund of my initial overnight delivery payment and received that. Nobody has reached out to me. So, my initial thoughts of retaliation seem to be accurate. I mean seriously! Who botches it twice and on the second try they actually went back in and changed the shipping method. It’s been real, it’s been fun, J&P, but not real fun. I’m returning your new seat, unopened and requesting a refund. In exchange, you will NEVER hear from me again.
UPDATE 5 Feb.24 The Mustang seat arrived today. I had to open the box to place the return authorization. Out of curiosity, I was looking at the seat. Guess What??!! Kyle, you remember Kyle? Looks like he or one of his cohorts sent me a USED seat, with missing hardware in a ripped bag. Looks like I made the correct call by ditching J&P Cycles. You know who never mistreated...
Read moreI just got a bike and needed a helmet, Bluetooth helmet speakers, and some fall protection clothing. I was told to come check out J&P Cycles. We live over by Maryville and took the ride over to Pigeon Forge. When we got to the motorcycle equipment shop I was greeted by a team member named Matt. He was extremely helpful and took his time to explain all different types of helmets and answered questions about my concerns for safety.
As well I was interested in adding audio speakers inside my helmet. So Matt introduced me to you a team member named Daniel. He was just as great. Took his time and explained all the different types of units they had and help me pick out one that I thought was right for me. I did not feel rushed when making my purchases. Also he enrolled me to signing up for their membership to save money on any other type of equipment I will be buying in the near future.
Out of all the shops I've been going to recently this one was by far the best! It is not always that we receive great service. But when we do I think it's worth telling people about it.
I'm sure I'll be back in the near future and will tell any of my people to go check you out.
Thank you...
Read moreExcellent Experience at J&P Cycles
I had a great experience at J&P Cycles in Pigeon Forge while purchasing a new seat for my motorcycle. The staff was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. I had a lot of questions and concerns, especially since it was a pricey purchase, but they took the time to address everything thoroughly.
What really stood out was that I was able to sit on a seat mounted on a bike in the store, and even test-fit the seat on my own bike before finalizing the purchase. They made it clear not to plug in the heated seat during the test, as that would void the return option—good to know, and I appreciated the heads-up.
They also introduced me to their rewards program, which turned out to be well worth it—especially when buying higher-ticket items. I ended up saving more than the cost of the program on this purchase alone.
Overall, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience smooth and comfortable. I’d absolutely recommend J&P Cycles, and I’ll definitely shop...
