We usually come here to eat when we come to Dollywood, and it has almost become a tradition for me and my cousin, but the food isn't all that, especially for the price. Per person you're gonna be paying at least 16$ if you're getting a burger. The food itself is pretty good, and I personally really like their chili cheese fries, but I don't think its worth paying an arm and a leg for a burger and chili cheese fries here when I can go to Burger King and get a burger and fries which are just as good for far cheaper. The service is also pretty slow. Today we ate earlier in the day so we beat the crowds, but when peak lunchtime comes, you're looking at possibly an hour wait to get your food. The atmosphere is charming, but nothing too exciting; while I do admit the diner aspect is slightly immersive, if I'm looking for a diner themed restaurant I'd prefer Sunliner, you'll be paying similar prices for far, far better food, service, and atmosphere. But I must admit, I would prefer this place over most other restaurant at Dollywood, as most of those will either break the bank or lack the admittedly charming atmosphere of Reds. Also I like being able to sit indoors when I eat which is something that puts it ahead of all the...
Read moreLiterally awful service. If I could rate negative stars I would. We had to wait in line for over 35 minutes and then when we finally got to order the older lady was very rude and disrespectful. As a first time customer there I was unaware that you have to assemble it yourself with things that everyone has been touching. I asked for only ketchup and she rudely cut me off telling me I had to “make it myself” and shot her hand festering to the other side of the room. I asked if my sons kids meal came with fries and she all but yelled that “no obviously you can only get a cheeseburger with goldfish and apple sauce”. (The menu didn’t specify what side he would get and I was only asking so I’d know if I need to add fries) I tried asking how much fries were and she again rudely tried to rush me out and said $7 for a small cup of old fries. After we finally got to sit down, I went to make our drinks and the machine fell off into the floor and the other one didn’t have any coke available and no one was there to service the machine or change the coke product out. Over all hands down the most terrible experience I’ve ever had...
Read moreThis place is always hopping and it’s easy to see why… fresh burgers and fries with a fresh topping burger bar so you can have as much or as little toppings as you want. Today they offered thick cut large yellow onions, shredded lettuce, thick cut large tomato slices , and think cut pickles. The veggies are kept cool in the bar and everything was fresh and crisp. They had plenty of employees keeping a careful watch on keeping everything in the dining room clean and everyone was having a good time. Reds is centered on a heartfelt story where Dolly Parton used to eat at a place similar, with Red being the owner of the establishment, he used to cook burgers on a cast iron skillet on a wood stove. Dolly was a child and teen in the 50s and 60s and so she grew up in the car culture and general vibe of this era and I’m sure that’s what inspires Reds and the theme park land around it. Dolly’s preferred mode of transportation is a classic car around the park and Reds is real close to her museum, tour bus, and one of the most state of the art theaters in the park starring her own...
