Fox's Pizza — Restaurant in Pine Mountain

I'd never been to Fox's pizza before. It was delicious! Me, my nephew "T" and Mdukes (that's my mom for those of you who haven't followed my other reviews) met today for lunch. They have an extensive menu but we opted for the All you can eat salad and pizza bar. I noticed that the variety of hot pizzas they kept sliding onto the bar slid off just as fast because they are so yummy. I ate 4 different slices myself. It's very laid back and relaxing with lots of families and young'ins enjoying each others company and meals together. There is no bar to sit at, which really it's not that kinda of atmosphere anyway, however, I did see some beer taps behind the counter. We all had tea to drink. Note to self: Pepsi products, no coke. I'm a diet coke girl, hence the tea instead of a fountain drink. I know, I know...people say they can't taste the difference...but I can. The salad bar had all the basics plus chicken, ham, bacon and cheese and a variety of salad dressings in those Ken's salad packs. Looks like they also had a couple of homemade dressings but I didnt try them. I like Kens thousand island. When you walk in you order at the counter. If you want the buffet you pay and go load up your plate - no wait. If you get something else from the menu you get a number for your table. Super easy set up and the owner and staff are very friendly. They do also have a tv mounted, and being that today was super bowl Sunday 2024, I'm sure they will be packed later with a houseful of hungry pizza/sports fans. Mdukes doesn't get to see T very often because he works and is in college so this was the perfect place to meet and catch up. If you visit Pine Mountain GA, be sure to grab a bite here. Called in a pizza and was told it would be ready in 45 minutes to an hour. 50 minutes later I arrived to pick it up and they told me they never received my order that I must've called a different place. They told me they could go ahead and make my order but that I should call the number back and let the other place know I would not be coming. So I called the number back from right outside and explained to the person in which I could clearly see through the window was here on the phone with me that I wouldn't be coming. After all that when I went back in to get my order the cashier had the audacity to ask me if I called the other place back after I was just talking to her. This is a prime example of horrible customer service, I have worked in the restaurant industry and I would understand if they were busy and didn't put my order in, but at least told me the truth. Instead they served up a double helping of lies...

Great place for some really good pizza! This was my first visit, and chose Fox's for a meet/ first date. We went at lunch and had the buffet (pizza/ salad bar). The salad bar was well stocked and the pizzas were hot from the oven. For me half of the pizza experience is in the crust. The crust had very good flavor, and texture, and was baked to perfection. The edges were airy and chewy without being doughy. In too many restaurants the crust tastes like cardboard or is too doughy or burnt. The sauce had a great tangy tomato flavor, and the toppings were plentiful and full of flavor. I was hoping for a more intimate atmosphere as this was a first date, but the seating was open table and chairs. With the lunch crowd coming in (it got crowded fast) it became noisy quickly.
