Best Ramen in Savannah Area! PLUS boiled seafood!
This is a woman owned business and she in an absolute Angel. Always greets us, remembers our orders, shows care and thanks as well. The combo of Ramen and a Seafood place may sound unusual unless you know how to make Ramen from scratch....which is probably why hers is the best in town. 1000% Worth the drive, and don't miss it at the right corner of the strip mall. We have been coming here almost weekly...as much as our diets allow! I have posted several photos from several visits. Most of them are tonkatsu Ramen. But there is one of her ribeye Ramen with pork chasu added.
Because her Ramen is homemade, keep in mind if you come here often enough the broth will vary. Sometimes richer, sometimes lighter. Some marinated eggs are darker and more flavorful, sometimes if more people come than anticipated the eggs may not have as much time to marinate. Nomatter what, the Ramen is always delicious, as are her appetizers! They are available on delivery platforms and you can order to go as well. Check it out!...
Read moreThere are many seafood boil places out here in the south. The seafood boil here is very peppery and thr sausages in the boil served is not that great in my opinion. I've had many seafood boils around the nation and out of 20, this ranks at about 9. Good if you're hungry though.
Snow crab legs - 6/10 (over cooked) Shrimp - 7/10 (overcooked, not much flavor) Corn - 10/10 (juicy and full of flavor/sweet) Sausage -2/10 (tastes nasty sorry) Egg - 9/10 (has some flavor, cooked great) Potatoes - 8/10 (very peppery but okay) Sauces -8/10 (not as flavorful as I'd expect from a seafood joint but not bad either. The butter they serve for the crab legs are more like the butter they give you for pizzas, not liquid butter)
All in all, it's okay. Because of other available options in the area, I'll probably choose otherwise. Other than that, I'm sure some other people may like this...
Read moreWe stumbled on this place and discovered that it is really good! Had the low country boil with cajun seasoning and medium heat, Bag C on the attached menu. The portions were HUGE and well cooked. It is as good as any boil in the area, probably better. Daughter had the seafood ramen and it was excellent. Son in law had a Ramen noodle dish and he liked it but thought the noodles were a little overcooked. Grandson had the chicken tenders and fries which came out piping hot and cooked just right. Service was smooth and above average. some things you shouldn't have to ask for are melted butter and cocktail sauce. based on our experience we don't understand the low reviews, perhaps it was because they were learning as they are relatively new. will...
