Best bagels and bagel sandwiches in all of Charlotte. That goes for the whole franchise, very consistent service at all the locations I have been to. Same exact menu too. It's very fast, and this location is a hit or miss sometimes with the line. On Saturdays the best time to get here is like 8 am or like after 1:30. During the week there's not much of a line in the mornings, and especially after 2pm, just keep in mind they stop making bagels for the day closer to 12 or 1, so you might be limited on bagels in the afternoon if you like a certain one. Sundays, good luck, best time is obviously before church let's out, I've had good luck before 9am. They usually have a great "limited time" bagel sandwich, like The Route 66, or Smoked Brisket, but I do wish they released new ones a little more often. They skipped The Route 66 this winter which really sucked because that's my favorite. But lately the special sandwiches have been great, so it's okay. I just don't like that you don't have a new sandwich for 2-3 months at a time. The manager is great, you see him making sandwiches, so you know everyone is involved. When it's busy, be patient with the check out, they prioritize the line for making sandwiches and then taking care of the check out line, it takes less time to check out a customer than to make a sandwich. They have a good selection of lunch bagel sandwiches too, I just wish they had more soup options too. Seems like they always have the same chicken spaetzel...
Read moreThe food is fine, the staff is friendly, but in the mornings on weekdays there is literally NO hustle to take care of customers. I had been holding off on writing a review because the staff are nice people but this morning was just ridiculous. There were four employees in the store, five or six customers in line and only ONE employee was actually helping customers. One. The others were slowly going about other tasks; making coffee, etc., but in my opinion in food service, especially at rush hour when people are trying to get breakfast and go... you should have a sense of urgency to get people taken care of. I waited in line for nearly 10 minutes just to get a bag of 6 bagels and grab a tub of cream cheese. This wasn't the first or even the fifth time this has happened, it's something I've actually come to expect and have had to tack extra time onto my commute if I know I'm going to stop there. I see all the other reviews touting fast, efficient service, but I suspect they might be at the store at different times of the day and not at morning rush hour. Anyway, I feel like this is a huge problem and it would do management some good to instruct the morning crew to put a little pep in their step. I can't be the only person having this experience and I'm sure it has probably driven away customers who would otherwise...
Read moreI am late in writing this review however I wanted to make sure I recognized both Melissa and Christina for the exceptional job they did during my last visit. I walked in on a Saturday morning on 10/17/20 and they were the only two people working up front.....one was on the register and one was making orders. The line wrapped all the way around on the inside several people deep. It was clear that they were not fully staffed and I was ready to walk out but it only took me a couple of minutes to notice that they both stepped up and efficiently worked that line down even quicker than when I have been there with a full staff of 3-5 people on deck. I was so impressed with their teamwork and their willingness to work together to speed up the process for everyone anxiously waiting for their order. They did an exceptional job and I wanted to make sure I recognized them, albeit almost a month later. I just now came across my receipt where I had jotted down their names. It was hidden in my wallet in between two other business cards. I had driven down from Hickory for an appointment nearby and we don't have Bruegger's Bagels up here so I was so happy to be able to enjoy my Siracha Honey Sunrise bagel that morning! Keep up the great work Melissa...
