Me & my friends recently dined here & sampled a variety of dishes. I’ve never been much of a fan of Indian foods (rather my tastebud goes for Bangladeshi or Pakistani cuisines), often finding the spices overwhelming and not well blended. However, this time, I was pleasantly surprised- every dish we tried was exceptional.

The Boneless Chicken Biryani was perfectly spiced with a striking balance that didn’t overpower the flavors. The boneless mutton biriyani was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful—with the spices melding beautifully. The texture and taste of the meat were so satisfying that it quickly became one of our favorites. The hyadarabadi tandoori chicken had a rich, smoky flavor with just the right amount of char. Paired with the soft and buttery naan, it was a delightful combination. The lamb curry was rich and hearty, with tender pieces of lamb that melted in our mouth. The curry had a deep flavor that paired well with the simplicity of the white rice, making it a comforting dish.

The Nalli (Lamb Shank) Biryani was the star of the show. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection, falling off the bone with the slightest touch. The biryani itself was fragrant and flavorful, with the lamb’s richness complementing the spices in the rice beautifully.

However, while the food was undoubtedly excellent, the service left much to be desired. The restaurant was noticeably understaffed, with only 2 waiters struggling to manage a crowded dining room. Service was slow, and one of our orders was forgotten entirely. To her credit, the waitress was very apologetic and even offered a complimentary mango lassi to make up for the mistake, but it was clear she was overwhelmed.

Additionally, the ambiance could use some improvement. The music in the restaurant was far too loud, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal in a relaxed setting.

For the service & ambience issue, I’m deducting one star from what could have been a perfect rating. We hope the management takes note of these concerns, as the quality of the food deserves an equally high...

Top notch food.. well cooked. Having recently indulged in the delectable delights of haleem, chicken 555, and the non-veg grill platter, I must say that my taste buds were treated to a delightful journey of flavors and textures.

Let's start with the haleem, a traditional dish known for its rich and comforting taste. The haleem I sampled was exceptional, boasting a velvety-smooth consistency and a blend of aromatic spices that truly satisfied my cravings. The slow-cooked meat, lentils, and wheat gave it a heartiness that was both filling and enjoyable. It was evident that great care was taken in its preparation, resulting in a flavorful dish that left me longing for more.

the chicken 555, I must say it lived up to its reputation as a crowd-pleaser. The succulent and tender chicken pieces were marinated to perfection, delivering a burst of flavors with every bite. The spices used were well-balanced, and the slight tanginess added an extra layer of complexity to the dish.

Last but certainly not least, the non-veg grill platter was nice too. This diverse platter showcased an array of grilled meat, including juicy chicken, mutton, some prawns. Each element was seasoned impeccably, enhancing the natural flavors of the meats.

slightly longer wait time as we didnt book a table. However, once the dishes arrived, the taste and quality made up for the delay.

If you're a fan of robust flavors, tender meats, I highly recommend giving these dishes a try. You won't be disappointed!

One small disappointment was with the mutton sukka pepper fry.. the taste was right, but the quality of mutton wasn't great.. am...

Indian food as a whole in the Piscataway / Edison area is in pretty fierce competition given the numerous different offerings due to the population. So we have had various exposures to the cuisine. They have a pretty exhaustive offering of items including South Indian offerings such as dosa, however looking at the Piscataway online platform, it doesn't quite give the same degree of completeness that some of the other House of Biryani and Kebab's location do. We had passed by and thought we might try them as my wife said they smelled really good. This Piscataway operation fills a space that was left as a void from a prior pizzeria. It has a simple seating area and there is 1 server for about 10-14 tables. On a light evening should not be a problem, but should they get busy, can clearly see it may cause a staffing shortage.

The food does seem to be prepared fresh. We had gotten a biryani, 2 entrees, naan and lessi's. The food is about average, and on par with what a restaurant quality offering of food should be. We had ordered our food as not spicy (esp for younger children). The spice level however is significantly higher than a standard norm. Our family has had standard Indian spice levels from mild to very spicy.

*Their mild would be equivalent to a standard of spicy-very spicy (at least on our visit). * If you cannot tolerate any spicy food, i would strongly recommend eating here with caution or perhaps come with a tub of vanilla Ben & Jerry's at the stand by. Would we visit again? perhaps, but with noted caution of their...

We ordered takeout - goat fry Biryani and HBK special chicken biryani. Both we ordered mild but still it was very spicy. We do love spicy food and can handle spice but in this case, it was only the tongue numbing heat that we were getting without any other flavors . I generally love goat biriyani but I was very disappointed with this one because amount of meat was very nominal compared to other biriyani places . The chicken Biriyani was better than the mutton but not up to the mark either.
