Cowboy Cookie & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Pismo Beach

'21/9 1st time customer/review: -- Impressive! A must stop experience. [Note: with no tables inside or out, this COVID-one-way walk through, counter-order dessert shop makes it SUPER easy to enjoy the cookie bowl (a scoop of quality ice cream--no soft serve--on top cookie of choice that's shaped to the bowl--see pic posted) while strolling Pismo Beach prominade & pier that's literally one parking lot away. Ice cream was basic, nothing special. But I'm writing for the cookies. Got 4 different flavors. The cowboy chocolate cookie smelled and tasted like soap. I thought it was me but even my husband made a comment that it tasted like dawn. We did enjoy the other flavors so we actually went back the next day for the flavors we did like. When we walked in, we realized the place smelled like soap! I'm assuming it must be the air freshener??? Not sure. Well, we got the chocolate chip cookie and it smelled exactly the same as the place. That soap smell! Soooo just suggesting to take out that air freshener or whatever it is that's seeping into the cookies. Not sure why you would even want to cover the smell of fresh baked cookies. Anyways, we did enjoy the cookies that didn't have that...

Been in there about 6 time's just for the cookies and they're great but yesterday we were going to get more but the young man behind the counter was counting the register l taped the window and pointed to the closed sign he said he had to do that and kept doing what he was doing we waited for awhile and finally walked away. So for the owner's of the store please instruct your employees to say l will be right with you instead of l have to lock the door it's not uncommon for us to buy two of about everything don't know how much that would be but you made nothing off of us and lm sure there could have been more people. And we really like your cookies....
