We went in this afternoon to get a drink and visit with our family. We were a group of 10. We each got a drink and some got food. We sat inside at some open tables. Given the size of our group we took up several tables. My daughter first recieved her drink and after she discovered her drink was made wrong, we made sure to check the reciept that we ordered it correctly so we took it back to the counter and asked for the ingredient that seemed to be missing from the drink. After being met with a very rude reaction from Lindsey and the other barista my daughter just ended up drinking it anyway as we felt like a very huge burden to the two women working. I will reiterate We were all enjoying our drinks and food still when we were approached by the barista Lindsey and told to consolidate tables for other customers. We were at 3 tables. Two tables that sat 2 and 1 that sat 4. We were not even using 10 chairs . Again, even if we were taking that many chairs up we were PAYING customers! There was no line and after we got up after being treated so rudely there were at least 6 open tables! Starbucks is known for people using it as a meeting place, a place to do work or homework... it was not out of place for us to be enjoying our food and drink in the establishment we purchased it. We were continually met with rude and unprovoked attitude from Lindsey. I do hope this was an isolated event and she is not usually this unkind to people if it is not maybe she needs to look for other employment as no customer should be made to feel the way she made us feel. If we ever return and see her working we will be sure not to patron...
Read moreI, too, had an extremely unpleasant experience at this location. I have been a customer for years at this particular location and others throughout SLO County as I have lived in this community for more than 20 years. Yet, I was questioned as to whether I was a paying customer after I requested the restroom code. While the cashier eventually offered the code after he saw that I was a legitimate customer, the initial assumption was that I was not going to purchase anything. Yes, we had every intention of purchasing a drink and sandwich, and we did so. This may be the national policy with the sign on the door. However, anyone looking at my teenager and I (we are people of color) would reasonably assume that we were not taking advantage of a Starbuck's restroom. I have NEVER been denied a restroom code until visiting this location, which I will never frequent again. If Starbucks is serious about customer service and retaining its brand, the company will reconsider this policy. I will be contacting national headquarters to file...
Read moreI would give this specific location ZERO stars if I could. My husband and I are avid Starbucks coffee drinkers. I spend so much money on this company every year therefore I know what kind of great customer service they are capable of delivering. This location however, failed tremendously to do so. On 10/3 around 4:40pm my husband went to use the restroom while I ordered and this random lady who was NOT in uniform, harassed my husband and would not let him use the restroom. She repeatedly asked him if he had purchased anything to which he said yes and she then proceeded to tell him that the restroom was for paying customers only. First off all, who are you to harass my husband when you’re not even in uniform? Very unprofessional. I don’t care WHO you are. Should I assume you only stoped him because he was of colored skin? I don’t want to assume that but I might since she likes to assume things as well. We will never...
