I was shopping in your Pismo Beach California location this afternoon with my three children. I and two of my children were wearing masks but my 11-year-old daughter is medically exempt from wearing a mask, so she was not wearing one. There was an employee at the door as we entered the store that did not say anything about my daughter not wearing a mask. As we were walking around the store my daughter and her older brother were separated from me doing their own thing and they were approached by the manager of the store, he asked why she wasn't wearing a mask. My daughter told him that she was medically exempt from wearing a mask to which he sarcastically replied “Oh really! and why is that?” My daughter informed him that she has asthma and walked away. She found me and didn’t mention what had just happened for fear that it would ruin her brother's chances of getting a new skateboard, which was the reason we went into the store in the first place. I was soon approached by the manager who, in a rather contentious manner, asked to see a doctor's note for my daughter's medical exemption. Notes are not required under the California mask mandate or the ADA for medical exemptions. I explained this to him and he went on to attempt to explain how he is trying to take care of my daughter by requiring her to wear a mask. I told him she was fine and that I and my boys wear happy to wear masks but that my daughter cannot wear a mask do to a medical condition. I further explained to him that according to the ADA he is not legally allowed to ask me why she is exempt from wearing a mask. He said that he would have to check that out with his regional manager, but for the time being, we would have to leave the store. My son was already the in line ready to pay for his new deck, I grabbed the deck from him and attempted to set it down on the counter, literally every surface of the entire store was an absolute mess and littered with merchandise everywhere, I put the deck on the best spot I could and it fell down. The manager then yelled, "oh I know you didn't just throw that at me, ok, ok have a nice day". I'm a 40-year-old man, a father of five, and business owner, I'm not about to get into a yelling match with an over-zealous 20-year-old manager of a Zumiez, so I just walked out of the store. The entire world has had to adjust to life with COVID-19, we're all learning the new ways we have to interact and 'do life'. In the 6 months since lockdowns and mask mandates started this is the single worst experience that I or anybody in my family has had. I tried to reason with this individual but from the very first of our interaction, it was evident that he had already made up his mind and that he was going to kick us out no matter what the circumstances. I have shopped at your stores many times over the last several years, being that I and all of my children skate, but I will no longer be making any purchases...

Then another deck caught my eye so I ended up turning it into a complete for myself and gave the first board to my Bro. It took a while to get everything together (back & forth between skate section/front register) and some minor scratches happened during assembly... Overall I am...
