Nice woman greets us at the door while she is delivering food to the parking lot. We walk in, and the atmosphere is just as I'd expect of the La Pinata name. A tower of tequila bottles, and a sea of colors with music playing, and happy people.
I Smelled bleach, or some other harsh chemical instead of food which was kinda weird like walking into a 7-eleven or some other gas station bathroom at 2 or 3 am. I'm not going to diss them for that, and I never mentioned it to anyone, but I thought I should bring it up new since my burrito was soggy.
Minus one star because the burritos are soggy, and fall apart when you pick them up. I specifically asked for a "dry, and -not a wet-" burrito, with all the fixings "-on the side-."
Naturally, the burrito was served with the pico de Gallo on top of the burrito 😂 The pico de Gallo was so wet and watery that the tortilla was mush. Only irritating because I thought this was communicated clearly in the beginning. My bad for not ordering the tortilla on the side I guess.
Also the guac tastes more like pico de Gallo than the pico de Gallo does. I think the guac IS just pico with a little green in it for some color. Wasn't gonna mention this either, but that wet tortilla got my tounge slippin'.
Other than that one small "white boy" problem of mine that I haven't seemed to sort out yet, the food and the experience was good, the place was clean, and the service was excellent.
But someone please tell me how to order a burrito 🌯🌯🌯 that I can pick up and eat with my hands. And for the love of tortillas,,, please put the sides in a ramiken, please. Ramiken, I think it's called a ramiken.
"May I please have a burrito. To go. 🫢But for here though. -Wrapped in foil- 🥸with no water,🥺 and a whole avocado on the side, 😁in a ramiken, and an extra tortilla on a separate plate. 🫤
I dunno, still working on my communication skills...
Read moreThe bar clearly served these two women too much to drink and they didn't know how to take care of them...instead, they put up a tall "wet floor" sign in front of the bathroom door of the woman who was throwing up. They didn't ask if she was okay or if she needed help. It wasn't until i made a focal point about the situation. They said they would call the police because they didn't know what else to do.
I've been coming to this location for years and didn't realize how irresponsible their decisions were. The moment i said this was a liability was the moment they removed the sign and pretended like the two women weren't even in the bathroom.
One woman said the sign was up since 3:00, but being that I used the restroom after this time, i knew the sign wasn't there and they were trying to justify their lack of accountability.
I have pictures of these women, and I know that La Pinata was trying to get away from their accountability. For a company that makes money, this was unacceptable and i am disappointed in every waiter and waitress that said they didn't know what I was talking about even those these women were in the bathroom, for over an hour. (Edit) there were other patrons in the bar that interacted with these women and also knew they had too much to drink but didn't do anything or...
Read moreI had been seeing this place from the freeway for a while, I had been meaning to try it. My wife and I were in the mood for a Mexican breakfast and decided to try something new. My first impression was it was decorated very nicely, colorfully and authentically. We were greeted warmly, and brought chips and salsa right away. I find that I can always tell the quality of a place based on how the chips and salsa are. The chips were nice and fresh, (not from a bag), and the salsa was mild but tasty. When I asked if they had any salsa with a bit more kick to it, they replied they had two other options habanero and chili verde. I chose the habanero salsa , which was delicious and definitely fulfilled my desires for some extra heat. I ordered nopales con huevos with black beans, and my wife chose huevos rancheros. I also ordered some Chiles toreados on the side. My nopales were perfect, I enjoyed them very much. I also appreciated how they sliced and presented the Chiles toreados. My wife thought that her eggs were a bit undercooked, so she sent them back and had them replaced. The staff did so very happily and promptly. Overall it was a very enjoyable breakfast experience. We will...
