Wah Sing Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Pittsburg

I read the reviews on here and thought why not try it out and give an honest update on this place so here goes ... I placed an online order a very large one by the way this I find is the very best way to find out how good a place really is order was placed for pickup at 7:45 - 8:00 pm so I arrived at 7:30 pm to do a customer service view point the gentleman at the door was beyond nice always checking in with me letting me know my order was being prepared I let him know there was no rush and I knew I was early and had a large order the inside was very clean and nice just sad that they don't have more customers and figured its probably due to reviews niw i love Chinese food and this place had everything I loved when my order was ready I was surprised that he brought it out in a large box all organized that was super kind of them because I do not like when they throw everything in a bag and the sauce spills, the employee asked if I wanted any sauces and he gave me more than plenty for all my nummy food., all the food had very good flavor and all had their sauce nothing was dry or par of flavor 3 broccoli beef 3 orange chicken 4 chicken Chow mein 3 egg rolls 2 cheese wontons 2 chicken fried rice I am beyond pleased with this restaurant and staff they definitely deserve 10/5 stars from me I am very picky on my food and love all the dishes I ordered I will definitely be going back and recommending this place if you had a bad experience trust me there's always a bad day but not everyday is bad so go give them a try again. thank you wah sing restaurant for getting my order correct and for your kindness and delicious food which was my...

I am new to the area and have only tried one other Chinese restaurant here, which was really good. Since Wah Sing had some good reviews, I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered online for pickup, ordering the sweet and sour pork with fried rice. There was an option for extra pork for a $1 thinking it would be in the fried rice. When I picked up my food and got it home, I found no pork in the rice and it was yellow colored rice with nothing else in it. The sweet and sour pork was barely covered in sauce. I took it back to get it fixed. I was told the extra pork was for the main entee not the rice. I was puzzled why I would pay for extra pork in a pork dish and said so. The people were very nice but explained the lunch special only comes with steamed or egg fried rice which was not on their website. They were nice enough to give me an order of pork fried rice but it took five times explaining that there was not enough sauce on the sweet and sour pork before they corrected it. I should have gotten my money back, the food was horrible. There were very few vegetables in the main entree, the pork was dry and even had pieces of grisle and fat. The sauce was thick and overly sweet.The rice had one small piece of scrambled egg. I ended up throwing it out. PLEASE USE CAUTION EATING HERE AT THIS TIME!! After a big take out order Christmas eve every family member who dined on the food we ordered here spent Christmas at the ER thinking maybe it was a stomach flu until lab work came back today. I went down there asking very discreetly to speak with the owner or manegment with my receipt in hand. I made it clear that I was not asking for a refund or any compensation for the ocer 120$"order we made there I simply thought they would take it seriously look at it and at the very least try to narrow it down to a possible entre or dish that might have caused this food poisonings so that no one else gets sick !? THEY BRUSHED ME OFF DIDNT WANT TO MAKE A COPY OF THE RECEIPT TO LOOK INTO IT NO ONE EVEN OFFERED A APOLOGY THAT MY ENTIRE FAMILY SPENT OUR FIRST XMASS TOGETHER IN 10YEARS IN THE E.R. SO IN THE MORNING I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE CDC HOPEFULLY SOMEONE WILL LISTEN BEFORE MORE PEOPLE GET ILL. I'm sure the man who pretended to be in charge was not because this restaurant has been open in pittsburg for a long time And that type of longevity doesn't usually come Without professionalism so I'm pretty sure the owner has no idea what's going on and would have handled this situation much different.
