Review March 2018: The food is decent, but the lady who picks up the phone.... my God, she must have the most miserable life ever! Forgive me for calling to ask if you still offer something on the menu and how much it costs! Cherries is known to have a biryani special on Fridays, so I wanted to come check it out.... and called to ask if it was still being available. The very rude lady who answered the call didnât hold back her heavy sigh and disinterested tone when she told me âUGHHHH yeah its here but Iâm closing in 15 minutesâ. Then I asked how much it was , with another âUghhh $8 somethingâ. Needless to say, I did not end up going because they clearly donât need the business. The couple times Iâve eaten breakfast there, the server didnât do as much as smile. Not exactly the type of âcustomer serviceâ you would expect from a small business. I should have read the reviews before going there, as many state the serverâs obnoxiously rude behavior.
Updated review: Racial profiling at its best. I came in, for biryani attempt #2 after many months. Lady mentioned in above review was on the phone, she looked at me and said âhow manyâ. So she could basically judge what I wanted based on my skin color. Pretty sure if a Caucasian person came in, she wouldnât assume they want bacon and eggs? Rude. At least have the decency to ask a customer what they want rather than assume. Learn some manners, lady with the short brown hair. Your business increases ten-fold because of an ethnic cuisine offering on Fridays so the least you can do is try to be a little respectful by not being presumptuous. Who...
Read moreThis restaurant is a place that Iâve been wanting to try for a while and today was the day that I finally decided to try it and I regret it. Due to the authenticity of the place, I thought it was going to be genuine food, but something was horribly wrong. I ordered the meat lovers omelette with French toast and a hot tea. My first bite of the omelette made me slightly nauseous but I thought it was because it was the first thing I ate all day and then I couldnât finish the meal so I asked for it to go in while I was packing up my order to go. My stomach started to hurt by the time I got home I threw up and pooâd everything I ate from this place and felt way better. I think they gave me food poisoning or A majority of the food was undercooked. Iâm not sure, but I donât throw up food for no reason I love to eat, and the fact that I threw up as soon as I got home from eating at this place states a lot! If you order here please make sure your food is okay. I trusted them and now Iâm at home puking...
Read moreFood was decent. What was horrible is the communication and customer service. 4 of us went for breakfast on a Saturday and first of all the prices on the menu are incorrect. At the end of our meal, we were told that on weekends they do not split the bill. A visible sign upon entering needs to state this policy, not a small handwritten sign by the cash register that will not be seen by those who sit down and eat because you pay at the table. We were told the total at the table but not provided an itemized check, and when the waitress swiped the card, she tipped herself 30% gratuity without telling us that she was going to. When confronted, she said it is a policy for parties of 4 or more and was very dismissive of our concern. This âpolicyâ is not posted anywhere in the establishment. I called my bank and disputed the $25 that she tipped herself. This establishment is sneaky and dishonest. I suggest going to City Works...
