Service: 3.5 Food: 4 Ambiance: 4 Cleanliness: 3.5 Recommended by a local (over Kelly Os and Pamela's) so it must be good. This place is a no frills diner that serves good food, quickly. We went for a late Sunday breakfast. There was a line outside, but it moved quickly. The staff were nonstop inside.. it was entertaining to watch! They had a classic boombox playing 90s HipHop & R&B, with the cooks shouting orders, servers rushing plates to tables, and bus boys clearing off tables for it's next guest. The food... It's what you expect from a good diner. Flat top seasoned over many years makes anything taste good! And the portions are HUGE! - Steel City Breakfast: classic eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage and toast. Also comes with pancakes the size of your head! I upgraded to the Cinnamon Bun Pancakes. It was sweet but not overly sweet. Enough to not need any syrup. - The MOAB Burrito: not sure what was all in it (besides the chorizo) but the kid enjoyed it! - Breakfast Burrito: huge burrito with eggs, potatoes, your choice of meat and cheese. It's a kind of burrito you need to with a fork and knife. - Chicken & Waffles: the chicken breast was super tasty! Crispy AND light. It was magic. The waffle however could be crispier... Maybe another minute or so in the waffle makers. All in all, a solid breakfast joint that will keep you full till dinner!

This place was suggested to us for a good breakfast spot in Pittsburgh and honestly it was over hyped. The place is a bit on the small side and it was about a 10 minute wait. The line for this place forms outside which the line got pretty long throughout the morning. It's a diner so it was pretty loud in there. I got the French toast combo which came with eggs and just water. It took like 35 minutes to get our food for something that was pretty basic. You pay at the counter when you leave type place. Also it's cash only. I didn't leave full like I wanted but waiting so long for the food I just wolfed it down and left. When I come back to visit Pittsburgh this place won't be on my re-visit list.

THIS PLACE WAS MY JAM. When I lived in Pittsburgh, everyone always wanted to go to Pamela's, but when I tell you THIS was the spot? I'm not joking. The vibe & service in this location was like a mix of Waffle House & Chick-Fil-A. The waitresses and waiters were always so very kind and treated you like they were hosting you in their own home. A total vibe. And the FOOD. My goodness. The flavor in the eggs and french toast or pancakes was always top notch - I'm drooling thinking about it right now. I always got cheesy eggs, sometimes bacon & always some sort of sweet treat like french toast or pancakes. AND I WAS NEVER DISAPPOINTED. You have to check it out if you live in or visit Pittsburgh.

Let’s just say, this one star is even being nicer than the way our group was treated yesterday attempting to eat. The worst part is, we did not even get to make it that far to try the food. This would have been my first time actually eating here, and I have heard the food is out of this world, delicious. Sadly, the first impression, upon being told to wait for a table, was that the day was wearing on the workers, and it reflected in their condescending attitudes. I felt honestly that not a single employee meant any kindness behind their words; the things being said were just verbally going through the motions “to do their job”. This was really apparent when we were finally about to be seated. We came out to eat to be together, in which we were originally told that the people in our group could not all sit together and the “best” they could do was put us at two tables (mind you, we only had 5 people total- 4 adults and a toddler). There were other tables that had more people even than we did; they were all sitting together. Regardless, we were willing to try this seating arrangement. We saw that the two tables were literally right next to each other that they were going to seat us. At that point, we asked if we could actually push the tables to be horizontal to accommodate us, as well as make sure to not block any of the foot traffic of the employees. What were were told to our faces was “that’s fine”, however, unbeknownst to the waitress, one of the people in our group happened to be walking past her as he was coming out of restroom and heard her calling us “idiots”. At this point, we left- no more questions asked. One of the people in our group did make it known to another one of the employees on our way out that it was this type of negativity that was the catalyst of us walking out, in which the person honestly just laughed about it. She did not try to apologize or make it seem like she cared. Yes, it was our choice to leave. The employees’ attitudes and common regard are still of importance in the overall dining experience and they did the...

Oh Deluca's oh how you have gone down hill!!!!! The manager was so extremely rude and unprofessional. As an international traveller, I looked forward to taking my family there for breakfast, prior to our first Steelers game. By the end of my visit, I was very sorry to even step foot in this establishment. After having my family of 5 split up at different tables, because they weren't able to accommodate us, and waited over 40 mins for my food, I was surprised to hear the owner only accepted cash as payment. I suggested she consider accepting different methods of payment in the future, for the convenience of her customers. She then proceed to yell at me and told me that it was just as convenient to walk down the street to an atm to withdraw the cash😳 I did do that, and upon my return, my sister was in tears, as she recounted how the manager used some unsavoury language and make some insulting remarks when I left (obviously not realizing that my family was still in the restaurant over hearing the entire rant). The manager apparently was so offended by me making it easier for customers to pay, that she stated to her staff that she hoped I didn't return the next day. Well, not only will I not return the next day, I will NEVER return to an establishment to be verbally ACCOSTED or insulted in this manner ever again. So sad! As I once held this establishment with High regard, but this managers lack of hospitality, courtesy and respect completely destroyed the customer experience😢. Listen, if a restaurant serves decent food with abrasive and abusive service, what is the point?! Stay away from this establishment at all costs and go somewhere that will value your patronage, your family and your hard earned...
