Nice Thai restaurant with a lot of the classic dishes and a few interesting items. The area is near Carson street on the South Side and the spot isn’t too too packed typically. I got to try out their pad se ew (Pad Z-U) noodles and the sticky rice with taro as a dessert. The pad Z-U was quite well done. They include a nice portion of noodles and an adequate amount of both vegetables and protein. They cooked everything to perfection, especially that delicious tofu. I always like the noodles to be saucy, and this place does a pretty good job at that! The dessert was unique and I’m very glad I got to try it. The taro is quite earthy so it probably isn’t to everyone’s taste but I enjoyed it. Nicely cooked rice, and little beans (I think?) as well as some sweet white syrup. Would recommend trying! All in all, I really liked this place. Good noodles and nice, unique desserts. Fair prices and portions as well.

This is a good restaurant. The reason why I only gave 3 stars and not four is because it is small. The waiter wouldn’t let you sit, unless everyone who is joining you are present at the same time. They do not take reservations. The waitress was rearranging the chairs super loud and carelessly. It did really bother me and my friend as we were trying to talk and eat. Because it’s a small restaurant, waitresses need to be mindful of that and stop dragging the chairs and instead lift them up. The food was good. I like that you could add any veggies you want to your meal with just extra dollar or two. I ordered a bubble tea and it was super sweet. Sweeter than anywhere else in Pittsburgh. I would still go back though, because every experience could be different and overall it’s not bad. I would give four stars if they improve their online menu. The visual aspect is missing.

Pitt has been serving the most slay and yum worthy thai food I've had (ever)! Thai Me Up is no exception to the rule, being just as incredible as Smiling Banana Leaf and the many others in town. The interior is a beautiful blend of cozy and warm, while still managing to be eclectic and filled with enough decor that it livens up the entire space. The waiters were absurdly fast, very understanding about allergies or restrictions, and really considerate of the guests they were serving. The food, which arrived surprisingly quick, was perfectly cooked and packed with a lot of flavor. I'm shocked at how amazing both the pho was and the fried rice, which just goes to show how far their quality spans. The fry appetizer was an amazing edition as well, but definitely more than enough food for what we paid for. This joint gets a solid 5 malcolms out of 5

First time here and I loved it. I got take out as I was on my to visit a friend. The place nice, clean, well lit- but not overly so. Seemed like a great little place to go with friends.

I had a little bit of difficulty picking something as they offer many dishes that sounded really good. They also have specials, which I appreciate of any restaurant I would go to often.

I got the Pork belly Pad Mee with chive and it was absolutely delicious. I love pork belly (and duck) and they're more rare to find at many restaurants.

The pork belly was crisped perfectly and it was just right spice wise at 7. I eat a lot of spicy food, and if it were summer I'd order it hotter at an 8 maybe 9 if feeling brave.

I also got a mango boba tea which was... just ok.

A notible mention: I stopped in on a whim and didn't preorder. My food was ready in about 6 minutes. That's rather impressive, as an average wait time would be about 15 minutes. It was a weeknight so not super busy but they did have several...

When I moved to within a few blocks of this place, I had every intention of being a regular. On my second visit, I brought my girlfriend and a single can of busch light (since I remembered seeing a "bring your own alcohol" sign in the window). After eating some sort of salad dish that had a lot of that white, crunchy, nasty lettuce from the middle part of the head, I had already decided to forgive the place and give it another chance. However, the last straw came when I got the bill - they charged me $1.99 for my ~$0.30 Busch light!! I was livid. It's not like I brought a whole bottle of wine or a case of busch. I argued with the server/manager for a while to see if they would reduce or eliminate the charge for MY OWN beer that I brought from home, but they wouldn't budge on their 'policy.' As I was leaving I smelled the distinct stench of human piss on their sidewalk. It was a fitting ending to my...
