My family and I had Reservations at 3:45pm on Mother’s Day which we were running a little late due to traffic. I called the restaurant to inform them and they told us about the 15min grace period which was okay because we got there at 3:57pm lol once we arrived it went left at the front door. Lauren checked us in and seen that all four of us walked in. I told Lauren reservations for the Browns family and she rudely said “Party of 2”? Mean while she seen me walk in with my two kids and fiancé! Mind you he had made a mistake and did not add our two girls. I apologized for the confused and mishap because she made it an issue that we had more than what the reservations had said! Lauren proceeded to say well here it says two not four so now I Have to see if I can Fit you all somewhere and told me to wait! She found a table for us to sit but mentioned that we need to give the table back by 5:15pm so now I feel Rushed but we were soooo hungry! She asked if that was possible to give back the table by that time! I then said to Lauren that we can try our best along with the help of the staff to get us all out by then! She then say noooo it’s not our staff it’s “you” and how long you take! I didn’t want to make a scene I was with my girls but When I say I bit my tongue so hard I shut Up and said okay and walked away until they had our table ready! All the girls that was upfront seen how rude she was treating me and family basically very condescending towards me. There was other parties standing around and it was really embarrassing for me!
They sat us and I asked The one lady if we really had to rush. She was was kind and apologized about how rude Lauren was! I asked Her if Lauren was the manager she said she was the sales assistant I believe! We sat down super nice clean environment! Then Amanda comes over and somehow she was told how rude Lauren was so when she came over she apologized sooo much I was Sooo happy and thankful for that Amanda was literally the best! Then later as we all were eating the store manager came out to apologized as well! When I say My heart was smiling I felt Soooo happy they all were sooo pleasant after hearing about our greeting experience at the door! They made everything else at that moment not matter at all to me any more! They all worked together and told me to enjoy our dinner and not to rush and take as long as we needed but we was out by 5:25 actually lol
Ppl has there preferences on how they review things but it was her for me. It’s ppl like that that will leave a bad taste in my mouth! Especially when your kindness was taken advantage of because I literally just went with the flow of things because I felt Bad we was late and didn’t modify the reservations correctly! Over all my experience was great the food i mean everything to the handsome manager acknowledging the issue to Amanda being the beautiful soul she is! I just Want to say thank you so much again for turning my Mother’s Day dinner so much better...
Read moreI had made a reservation on OpenTable for 6:15 PM on Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. We arrived early and checked in, and the hostess told us our reservation wouldn’t be ready until closer to 6:15 which wasn’t a problem. We went to the bar and ordered drinks (highly recommend the Stoli Doli - very refreshing in the summer).
We were seated at exactly 6:15 and we’re greeted very promptly by our server, Ashley. She was absolutely fabulous (10/10 for service)! She had asked if we were celebrating anything specific and we weren’t except for the fact that we were dining before a concert. She asked us what time we needed to be out as to not be late and took that into consideration throughout our entire meal.
Our food arrived promptly and she checked in enough to not be over-bearing. It was the right amount of service.
The food came out piping hot and exactly how we had ordered our steaks. Everything was delicious, including the appetizers and dessert.
Our only complaints were the valet and the women’s bathroom. Valet: It was $12 (not a problem), but it took over 30+ minutes to get our car. They were doing the best they could, however, I don’t think they were ready to the mad rush of people. Women’s bathroom: there wasn’t any toilet paper in 2 of the 4 stalls, and the toilets didn’t seem to properly flush, like there was no pressure to force the water down which is gross in my opinion. They also had an oversized leather bench in there which made it seem very crowded in an already small bathroom.
Overall though, 10/10 for the Capital Grille - will be returning for the...
Read more14th anniversary. 8:45 dinner reservation. Everything started off great, but our first appetizer came out and it was reheated and over cooked Korean Bacon/pork belly. I know it’s a late reservation, but I expected fresh food even at this hour.. I got a $52 scallops and lobster dish and my risotto was like eating stuffing and my scallops were very strange. 3 were over cooked and rubbery, 2 were good, and one was not even seared. They were very kind about removing this from the bill and trying to make up for the trouble!!! Again they’re awesome and I felt so bad about my comments. I cook myself. My wife was embarrassed that I explained what was wrong, and returned my dish…. But I hope the head chef asked which cook made that…. Who approved it for service?? I was so excited to eat here for my anniversary and it was not good. If you don’t want to cook the same as you do between 5-7pm. Then don’t say you serve until 9pm. Don’t force my order….and make everything feel rushed. Maybe that’s my fault, but I expected capital to be comfortable with late night dinners.
It could’ve been one lazy cook having a bad night 🤷🏻♂️. So again, they were really fantastic about trying to make up for this and that was awesome!! Head chef came out to apologize…. I felt so bad!!! Everyone was so nice!!! Food can be hard to execute… especially a risotto and scallops.
My bill was $176. I tipped $100 on top because my server was the best ever!!! He was fantastic.
I hope to be back and...
