A historical landmark that sits in the central of Pittsburgh. This ancient structure has lived over 150+ years, and still exists today in the noisy, busy city. Despite the crowds outside, when we entered we noticed how peacefully quiet and serene the place was. There are volunteers at the entrance to greet us, and no noise allowed. That created the calming atmosphere. we admired the glass artworks on the windows, and saw an info board with some upcoming events too. Absolutely gorgeous church. Tiffany windows are over-the-top beautiful. We stayed at Omni just down the street and had to see this magnificent church. So glad we did. Security guard showed us around and knew plenty about church and history. So impressed we are going to visit from 6 hours away coming from Michigan during holidays. Visually stunning inside. It's hard to accurately describe how beautiful it is inside. It's even more amazing when you realize how old it is and that this was built over one hundred-fifty years ago. A tip I learned while visiting is that the 30-foot tall doors are so perfectly balanced that 1 person can move them. They ride on tracks in the floor. The stained glass is Tiffany.
