If you're in the mood for a sweet treat that feels like a little slice of heaven, look no further than Treat. This cozy gem is a must visit for anyone who loves deliciously creamy ice cream and mouthwatering waffles that taste like they were made with love.

The ice cream is delicious and whether you're indulging in classic vanilla, decadent chocolate, or one of their more unique, seasonal offerings, every scoop is bursting with fresh, authentic taste. My favorite is Pittsburgh Pride.

The homemade liege waffles are even better and the definition of perfection: crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served warm with the perfect amount of sweetness.

The star of the show is the owner — a delightful and engaging Belgian transplant who brings the charm and warmth of his homeland to the shop every single day. He’s always ready with a smile, a fun story, or some insider tips on the best flavors to try. His genuine passion for quality food and customer service shines through in every aspect of the shop. It's impossible not to leave with a smile after chatting with him!

Whether you're coming for the ice cream, the waffles, or both, Treat is a place that brings joy with every bite. It's the perfect spot for a casual treat, a date, or even just an every...

These are my favorite style of waffles and the owner is from Belgium so you know they're authentic; best waffles I've ever had. They are also very friendly and I had a full on conversation with the wife. With that being said, I think there may have been a misunderstanding with my order. The gentleman offered me a coffee on the house which I thought was extremely generous and made me feel at home. But I don't think his wife heard that and she rang me up. For a waffle w/ a scoop of ice cream and two plain waffles it was $17.50; I find that a bit pricey... then I get home and look at their menu online and everything I got should've added up to like $15 after tax. She definitely charged me for the coffee. I'm sure it was an honest mistake so I'm not too upset about it but if you're gonna offer something on the house you may want to relay that information to the person ringing up the order. Also, I was planning on having it to go but they never asked if I wanted it to go or not and I forgot to ask myself. So I drove home with my wife's waffle and ice cream on my lap lol Not sure if there's a to go...

I brought my girlfriend to the Pittsburgh Zoo for her birthday, and trying to make a day trip out of it decided to try a local ice cream spot. Upon arriving we were created by a very nice man who kindly explained to us that the Belgian waffles we all know and love were not real Belgian waffles. I was a little skeptical when he said they were made with brown sugar among other odd ingredients. I had a waffle with a scoop of their baklava ice cream, my girlfriend a waffle with a scoop of their cannoli flavor. As we tried our first bite of an authentic Belgian waffle, we were absolutely enamoured with the flavor. We've never had anything quite like a REAL Belgian waffle. It was SO DELICIOUS and the baklava ice cream was sweet and creamy and just absolutely perfect. We would absolutely make a trip back to Pittsburgh simply for these Belgian Waffle ice cream...

Ahh what can i say about this place?! I came here with my husband during our first visit to Pittsburgh and we were so lucky. Its been days and we still wouldn’t stop talking about it and telling our family and friends about it. The waffle here is so special, light and fluffy yet crispy outside. They have various ice cream flavours and all of them are unique, they are not too sugary or sweet, which is something I prefer. I picked the sage and blueberry ice cream, my husband picked Pittsburgh pride and the strawberry one.. all perfect, and we enjoyed every bite..I would recommend this place to everyone.

Really good variety of flavours. You can try as many flavours as you want, and then make a choice, which is great. The waffle is pretty good as well. The service was honestly a bit let down. The young lady serving us seemed disinterested. Maybe because it was almost 10 and they were about to close. She also got our order wrong, and we couldn’t really reverse it because she had already taken out the ice cream and it would mean wasting the ice cream if we had to get original order. The food was great but I guess it was one of those days where the service could have been bit better.

This is just one of those places where I wish I could give 10 stars. This is a business with filled with heart, charm, passion and joy. Not only is everything food wise unique, special and delicious (no store bought ice cream here!), every liege waffle is handmade right in front of you. “Saw when” topping application in the form of whipped cream makes this place one of the best dessert spots in all of Pittsburgh. With regard to flavor suggestions, I’d go with the Strawberry Pretzel, Irish Cream, and Pittsburgh Pride… and you can’t go wrong with any other choice either.
