If you're in the mood for a sweet treat that feels like a little slice of heaven, look no further than Treat. This cozy gem is a must visit for anyone who loves deliciously creamy ice cream and mouthwatering waffles that taste like they were made with love.
The ice cream is delicious and whether you're indulging in classic vanilla, decadent chocolate, or one of their more unique, seasonal offerings, every scoop is bursting with fresh, authentic taste. My favorite is Pittsburgh Pride.
The homemade liege waffles are even better and the definition of perfection: crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and served warm with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Read moreThese are my favorite style of waffles and the owner is from Belgium so you know they're authentic; best waffles I've ever had. They are also very friendly and I had a full on conversation with the wife. With that being said, I think there may have been a misunderstanding with my order. The gentleman offered me a coffee on the house which I thought was extremely generous and made me feel at home. But I don't think his wife heard that and she rang me up. For a waffle w/ a scoop of ice cream and two plain waffles it was $17.50; I find that a bit pricey... then I get home and look at their menu online and everything I got should've added up to like $15 after tax. She definitely charged me for the coffee. I'm sure it was an honest mistake so I'm not too upset about it but if you're gonna offer something on the house you may want to relay that information to the person ringing up the order. Also, I was planning on having it to go but they never asked if I wanted it to go or not and I forgot to ask myself. So I drove home with my wife's waffle and ice cream on my lap lol Not sure if there's a to go...
Read moreI brought my girlfriend to the Pittsburgh Zoo for her birthday, and trying to make a day trip out of it decided to try a local ice cream spot. Upon arriving we were created by a very nice man who kindly explained to us that the Belgian waffles we all know and love were not real Belgian waffles. I was a little skeptical when he said they were made with brown sugar among other odd ingredients. I had a waffle with a scoop of their baklava ice cream, my girlfriend a waffle with a scoop of their cannoli flavor. As we tried our first bite of an authentic Belgian waffle, we were absolutely enamoured with the flavor. We've never had anything quite like a REAL Belgian waffle. It was SO DELICIOUS and the baklava ice cream was sweet and creamy and just absolutely perfect. We would absolutely make a trip back to Pittsburgh simply for these Belgian Waffle ice cream...
