(UPDATE) Alyssa and the other team members made the experience fun and were not "upselling" me they were catering to me. Huge difference. I come in about twice a year for a big buy unless I run out of a certain thing and then just run in and out to grab it. Alyssa was literally awesome. She was excited to help me and excited about the products and trying them on me. She wasn't trying to push anything and she was so happy that I couldn't even call her patient because why would you need patience if you're loving what you do in the moment stress free. 13 out of 10. I opted to buy new products that I haven't tried because she was just so informative and knowledgeable at pointing me in the right direction! It was fun to shop and I didn't feel bombarded, I felt like I was having a girls day. Love this store's vibe! Go when they're slower on the weekdays. You'll receive a proper shop-cation. 👌

(Previous review from over a year ago) it is in Shadyside, so the store itself is tiny, but has great items. The five star review is for Shaina (sorry if I spelled it wrong) who was super accommodating and efficient! Because of covid, there was a line outside the store. There was a protest about to start and I thought my car was going to be stuck in the garage, so she immediately asked me if she could get the items I was looking for to get me checked out. 10/10 customer service. I have had good experiences at this store in the past hence the two star and not one star rating, unfortunately the last time I was in this store I was appalled at the customer service. My friend and I were in the store for at least 10 minutes clearly in need of assistance and we were never even greeted let alone asked if we needed any help. The employees were all gathered in a corner having a personal conversation amongst themselves the entire time. When I finally asked a woman to help me she had absolutely no knowledge of any of the products I was interested in, insisting that one was waterproof and one wasn't when it clearly stated on the package they were both waterproof. She then tried to sell me something I was not looking for, when I said I was not interested in that she became rude. This location already has a stunted selection of products, at least be nice to your customers and please do not make up information just to appear knowledgable.

Update: Visited this location this afternoon and Jackie helped me, she was very nice and helpful, best experience I've had here in years upped my rating...

I like Sephora a lot. This store can get busy on weekends and as it's on a small street with minimal parking it is a smaller size but it carries a good range of products.

I have always had good experiences with all the staff there. Many times I have had samples rained on me and also any time I have asked for perfume samples they have allowed me to get numerous different scents.

I have never had much success with their Color matching device which always indicates that I should have a pale warm foundation, which, when applied by the make up artist quickly gives me a yellow tone. However the make up artists there are knowledgeable about breakout triggers in post-teen women. They make many useful suggestions that aren't related to any product purchases in-store.

The only reason for the 4 star rating is having been urged to purchase a very expensive skin peel range that did nothing for my skin despite insistence that it would over a cheaper product version I initially...
