Marco's Pizza — Restaurant in Pittsfield Charter Township

I love the food and have always enjoyed the service I have received at their other locations so I was pleased when I moved and found a location nearby but I am extremely disappointed. In a way most might not expect so hear me out…. The first time I ordered I selected to pay cash for a $23 pizza and added 10% as a tip with the intention of giving an additional $5 with my cash change. Well I gave the guy $40 and he said are we all good? And I said, no do you have change? As he was going through the money bag he was gripping the whole time about how cheap people are. I gave him $2.30 in the app plus $5 cash for a $23 pizza which is more than 30%. He was still complaining so I gave him $3 more just to get out of the cold. Ridiculous. I ordered again tonight and paid for the food on my card and was going to tip in cash as to Avoid the part on the app part in cash thing again. This store has the nerve to call me and say oh you didn’t add a tip can I add that to your card? If you are too cheap that don’t pay your employees enough that they are so hard up on tips that you harass your customers for tips so the drivers so they can pay their bills, You’re not worth my service. Placed an order at this facility…ordered an all meat pizza bowl with onion and green peppers …they forgot to add green peppers and onions…called back …manager said he would return money to my card with a little extra..I told him to just write down my name…and when I order another one the onion and peppers would be free…He then apologized and said no problem …A few weeks later I called in order for the pizza bowl …the rude young man who answered the phone named Mohammad …proceeded to tell me that I had to know the date I came in…at the time I was driving proceeded to tell him that I don’t know exact date but I was assured by manager that it wouldn’t be a problem…he then went back and forth with me …I finally told him to cancel my order and let me speak to a manager…manager was not there…I went to the store several times and everytime he gave me a different time that the manager would be there ..each time I went he was not there…I left phone number manager has not called back…I would not recommend patronizing this facility …They took my money off my card and did not fulfill my order or return my money...

Prices are high, execution is not good, service is inconsistent. I called in a carry out and was told it was going to be 30 minutes FOR A CARRY OUT?? As someone who worked in pizza places for years that’s unacceptable. If you can’t get carry out orders in 15 to 20 minutes consistently then you’re not a well run store. Period! It takes only 6 minutes to cook the pizza so if it’s not busy you should be telling people 10 to 15 minutes. And if it’s busy you tell them 15 to twenty minutes. Which gives you 14 minutes to get that order in the oven.

The pizza was okay. Ingredients were high quality. But execution was poor: Did not have even topping distribution, not enough sauce, too much cheese, undercooked, and didn’t carry the sauce and cheese to the edge of pizza so the last 3 inches of each slice...
