After spending too much money at our Ann Arbor-based warehouse store, my wife and I realized that we were hungry! Remembering that our friends mentioned that The Palm Palace was one of their favorite places for Mediterian food, and we just happened to be nearby, we decided to give it a try. Mind you, we are no strangers to Mediterian dining, having sampled all of our local eateries, we have our list of favs and not-so-goods. The Palm Palace just replaced our number-one favorite place for Mediterrane cuisine! Let’s start with the Hummus and bread and garlic sauce called Toum. We love both so much, we make it at home. Yes, it’s good that we both love garlic, because we can smell the garlic the next day, and it’s all good! The Palm Palace’s Hummus is the absolute smoothest we’ve ever had, nothing short of amazing! I especially appreciated that they did not serve it covered in Olive Oil. The Toum was garlicky-sharp and whipped into an easily spreadable and dippable confection! Ours does not come out like that, and I’d like to figure out how they do it! Now for entrees, I had the Sish Combo, with one Shish Kabob, one Shish Tawook & one Shish Kafta, choosing a side of rice. It was served on a monstrous plate so that the food was not overcrowded and easy to eat! My wife had a Falafel Sandwich and customized it by adding pickled turnip, hummus, and of course Toum! She made hers a combo, selecting a Fattoush salad. Since my meal came with a salad, we upgraded to a large salad that we were able to split! Finally, my wife had the rice pudding for dessert. While delicious, it was served refrigerator-cold. It would have been better if they served it warm, especially on the cold winter night we ate out. Overall, we love the place. The lighting is exquisite, from the parking lot trees to the outside uplighting, to the inside. Everywhere you look, there is something to see!

I recently visited Palm Palace, a Mediterranean/Arabic restaurant, and had a great overall experience. The food was delicious and came at a fair price, especially considering the generous portions. One of the highlights was the freshly baked bread, which was served warm and complemented the meal perfectly. The chicken shawarma hummus was outstanding — the shawarma was tender, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the creamy hummus. I highly recommend it to anyone dining here. The menu offers a good variety of Mediterranean dishes, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and authentic. The flavors were well-balanced, and you could tell that quality ingredients were used. For the price, the portions were more than satisfying, making it a great value for the money. The only downside of the evening was that they were out of Almaza, a Lebanese beer I was really looking forward to trying. While it was disappointing, it wasn’t enough to dampen the overall experience, especially given how enjoyable the food was. I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu and hopefully get a chance to sample Almaza next time. Overall, Palm Palace is a solid choice for anyone craving Mediterranean or Arabic cuisine. The food is well-prepared, the portions are hearty, and the prices are reasonable. Despite the minor hiccup with the beer, I’ll certainly be returning for another meal. Highly recommend!

I have wanted to try Palm Palace for *years.* We live about 45 minutes away and made the trip tonight. My entire family frequents Palm and because of my almond allergy I have been too hesitant to dine in. I finally decided to go sit down and see if they could safely accommodate my allergens without being a difficult customer and our server Shadi was THE BEST. Shadi took the questions to the kitchen who were so friendly and accommodating. I was still a little nervous when my salad and food came out but there were no almonds or pine nuts that I could find anywhere. What a relief! Shadi also made sure to check the desserts for me and checked in with us often. He was upbeat, fun and professional. Service truly matters and he made it an exceptional experience. Everyone seemed to work together and get along so well. The ambiance and decor throughout Palm is peaceful and breathtaking. They play no music in the diining rooms and I actually found that refreshing and enjoyed the peacefulness of the space. The robot food delivery server was a riot and we enjoyed watching it's little digital facial expressions. The hummus was fluffy and light. The bread was the same way. My wine was delicious and the rice... oh that rice seems so simple but was actually delicate and delicious. We were so full we took most of our meals to go and I look forward to trying another entree next time.

LISTEN UP. Disregard every single review besides this one. I am a regular to this place and I DO NOT write reviews often, but this place deserves one.

My girlfriend and I regularly go to Palm Palace almost every weekend. This place is incredibly consistent when it comes to the quality of the food and service.

Food - It doesn't get better than this place. They serve you larger portions than any regular human can finish on their own, especially if you get an appetizer/salad. EXPECT to take left overs home (unless you're like me and have a bottomless pit for a stomach). My gf never finishes her food (it's delicious, its just very filling and ALOT of food).

On top of this, don't expect your typical nasty American restaurant. This is true Mediterranean food that is extremely filling and extremely nutritious. All whole foods with plenty of deliciously cooked veggies, tons of protein, and plenty of other options if you're not into the whole "health" thing.

Personally, I am personal trainer, so this place is absolutely fantastic to get a huge feast in because its all food that is truly good for you. Not overly fried or doused in grease. So if you're looking to get in shape and feed you body to become and absolute unit of a human being, THIS IS THE PLACE. NO OTHER PLACE IN MICHIGAN CAN COMPARE TO HOW GREAT THIS FOOD IS FOR YOU AND HOW DELICIOUS IT IS.

Service - Every time we go for dining in, our waiter/waitress is always respectful and quiet. They don't do that annoying thing where they check-in on you 20 times while eating. They serve you and leave you be which is exactly what my girlfriend and I like.

If there's something wrong with the order, they immediately correct it with no issues. Incredibly nice people just doing their jobs. Nothing exceptional, just a quality experience from quality people.

If you are ordering out, the guy that usually works the take out area is always nice. I'd probably be friends with him.

Atmosphere - Fantastic. When we go, there isn't annoying little kids or anything and it is usually quiet. I am not sure about earlier in the day. There's the occasional big group/party that gets loud but its not often and they usually aren't too bad.

There also have these weird robots that deliver your food. Useful? Not really. Part of the experience? For sure. Who doesn't like having a little robot minion come to your table and deliver massive plates of perfectly cooked and tenderized meat? Kinda awkward at first, but you'll get used to it. Plus you can take a picture of them and send to your friends cause why not.

Lastly, they always purposefully seat you far away from other customers. THIS IS AWESOME. If there's space, they make sure you have privacy. As an introvert who just want to enjoy my food and pretend no one else is there, this is absolutely perfect for me and my gf. I have never had a restaurant where they so consistently seat you far away from others. It's great.

Overall, this place is very high quality. I genuinely hope it never goes out of business. The only reason it would is because Americans are just too fat and want extremely fatty, greasy food from places like Five Guys. This place serves you real food that is actually great for you and its also delicious.

An absolute staple in my restaurant rotation, I will always come back. Who knows, we may even hold our wedding here. I know they wouldn't disappoint.

YOU WILL NOT REGRET GOING HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE A TERRIBLE PALATE AND ONLY...

Let me start by saying I NEVER leave negative reviews, but last night was completely unacceptable.

I’ve been here around 5 times now. Everytime I go, I try to give it the benefit of the doubt for service being slow as it’s been during busier times, but I will not be back after last night. Food is decent, but the service is consistently the worst I’ve ever experienced.

Last night, we get there around 9 and they close at 11. There weren’t too many tables and we were our server’s only table.

Everytime we’ve been in, it’s taken 5-10 minutes to be greeted and last night was no exception. I think they want you to know what you want by the time they come over, it’s unlike any other place where they greet you and get started with apps and drinks.

He finally comes, we order a couple apps, water and my fiancé got a juice. He brings out the drinks, then apps shortly after. We say we need silverware. Entrees comes out, we still need silverware. I haven’t been able to touch my salad and now the food is here. I ate my grape leave by hand. Food is here and he got my fiancés food wrong. We don’t say anything, we’re not difficult people. He doesn’t check to see how the food is. The next time we see him, we’ve finished our meals. Even if we were to send his food back his for the correct item, I would have been completely finished with my meal and we’d have to wait for his to be made. We are completely out of water. We ask for water and boxes. He comes and delivers both. We wait about 15 minutes after we box up our food, waiting for the bill. I have to go find him to ask for the check. Then, when he does check us out, he has the audacity to say cash if preferred. I am in the service industry and have been for almost a decade. I would never not tip someone, but this man was completely and utterly undeserving. When you go out to eat, it’s a luxury and you expect great service. You want to relax and enjoy your food, which we were unable to do since we were asking for things that were not provided and waiting for them the whole night. This was by far the worst service experience of my life.

Side note: allergies are “noted” on the menu, but they are not correct and I fear someone, if they haven’t already will get very ill. All of the rice dishes have gluten because of the Mediterranean noodles. Not all of the dishes are denoted correctly indicating this and as someone with allergies makes me nervous to...
