So disappointed with our experience tonight. My husband ordered the snow crab legs, which came out hot and cooked perfectly, but he was so upset to see that most of his legs were not plump with meat, but instead were only half filled if that. He was especially upset when he saw they were $34.99 for 1 lb and he was going to be mostly paying for shells and joints, not meat. Bad quality for a high price. If he would've know they were that expensive he would've ordered one of the feasts instead for around the same price and a lot more food. I ordered the salmon new Orleans, but was told they were out of salmon. Totally bummed. I settled for the coconut shrimp, which is normally pretty good. I love the Pina colada sauce that comes with them, but this time there was more breading than shrimp on most of the pieces. I ended up having to peel quite a bit of the breading off. 2 pieces were completely inedible with the shrimp being so thin that the breading turned into a rock. We both ordered the jasmine rice and it was so overcooked you could mash it with a fork and turn it into a dough. It was straight mush in your mouth and so bland. Gross. Their old rice was better. The best part of our meal was the bread and our daughters kids fish meal. On top of that we weren't very pleased with our service. I had a question about the new 10 for $10, but I couldn't finish my question before being cut off saying that it wasn't available at this time. That's fine, but I still would've liked my question heard and answered so I could know for the next time I came in. I thought that was kind of rude along with pushing us to put our daughters food in before we even ordered. We wended up ordering together, but when they didn't have the salmon they put hers in anyways and her food came out before our server was even back to take my order. We ate a late lunch so my daughter was not in any rush for her food to come she was fine nibbling at her piece of bread. Plus, she likes to eat with us not alone so her food ended up getting cold and then she didn't want it at all. My husband had asked for a second beer when his first was about halfway gone. The first took forever to come so he wanted to order it early enough so he could drink it with the rest of his meal. She told him to drink a little more from his glass before she would put it in. He was finished with his first way before the second even came and just as predicted it took a while. He was just finishing his food as it came. They were not busy we heard several severs talking about how slow they were. Even my husband saw our waitress in a group with other workers on their phones talking instead of taking care of business when he was on his way to the restooms. While we were still finishing up our server came up to us twice to ask if we had paid yet while he was still finishing his beer. It felt pushy like they wanted us out. We won't be returning to this location and probably not any red lobster in general for a very long time. Such high prices for low quality food. Such a disappointment when you feel like you've wasted your hard earned money on a meal you couldn't even really enjoy. Leaving so upset your drive home results in tears talk8ng about or experience tonight. Feeling offended and...
Read moreIt has been decades, since I have returned it to red lobster. To my surprise my memories of this establishment have completely change to the good. My family ordered the ultimate shrimp dinner at 20 bucks. It was an unbelievable value for what we done you had a choice out of at least eight types of shrimp to order three the first round and then you can add order two additional types of shrimp, new or those that you enjoyed previously each time you were ready for more. What made this experience exceptional really really exceptional was our servers. Kat, our main waitress was attentive on the ball and made sure that our meal ran smoothly Devin, assisted Kat bringing out the hot dishes as they were ready to be served to each of my family members. I apologize for the other crew members that I did not get to meet, but I want to talk about these two in particular kat and Devin, you are outstanding servers. You both have a fantastic personality, level of humor, positive attitude, a wonderful, personal smile not only in the way you dress, but also the way you present yourself and carry out your duties. I believe you far exceeded the training that she received from red lobster to work effectively and efficiently, if this business. I cannot extend my deepest gratitude for how wonderful you made the meal even better than it was in between you and me. It was delicious absolutely delicious. I apologized to the other crewmembers because I know U2 also added to the atmosphere with all your customers, but Kat and Devin, I want to personally thank you again for providing my family with a wonderful surprise when we return to red lobster. I hope I get a chance to meet you too again and I hope the managers at the Ypsilanti Ann Arbor red lobster recognize both of you for your outstanding good work. John
A lobster boat cannot survive with the captain in alone, but it’s crew to harvest a wonderful crop of lobsters. The caption of red lobster should be very proud of the crew at the Epson Lanny Ann Arbor location.
Egad, where is my brain. Please inform the entire cooks in the kitchen that their efforts were exceptional as well. This food consistently was hot savory, and the surprise for the different ways shrimp could be served. My family gives you a...
Read moreWow. A lot to unpack in this one. I literally thought I was on one of those “what would you do” episodes… I would like to start by saying the manager at this restaurant, Carrie C, should be fired immediately. She is extremely rude, and was yelling at her staff right in front of my table. She was not only rude to her staff, but extremely rude to me and my boyfriend. Not only that, but due to her poor management, a server was getting cussed out at another table for how horrible her experience was (even though it was not the servers fault, she was very sweet) and the manager did nothing to support her. There were about only 7 tables in the whole restaurant, so it’s not like they were busy. After over 20 minutes of sitting with no water I went to the bar and got my boyfriend and I water and sat back down. I should have left right then and there, but we came 30 minutes there to have a nice date night, so we thought we could stick it out. The food took exactly an hour to come out, and at that point I asked for the manager. She came and blamed the staff, and I told her “this is the worst dining experience I have ever had, I am flabbergasted! You are yelling and arguing with your staff right in front of the tables, food is taking an hour to be made even though no one is here, and your servers are getting cussed out at other tables for the whole restaurant to hear because they are also having a terrible experience… and you won’t help her? She walked away and didn’t even offer to discount our bill, a free dessert, NOTHING. Finally when we got the bill, it was full price. I was shocked. I then told her that was unacceptable and she said “fine I’ll fix it” and gave us the NASTIEST look. It was so horrible. The poor waitress was telling her we deserved much more off, but she told her to stop. I have never been more confused. We came at 7:00, left at 8:50… I am still in shock I just witnessed such a horrible manager treat staff and...
