Summary: nope, nope, and nope. Also NOPE. Walked in Sunday night for a dinner slice and was ignored at the register. Had to be like "excuse me, can I have one slice of pizza"? An unkept man in a baseball hat, which I'm assuming is Uncle Joe or his useless 45-year old kid that still lives in Uncle Joes' basement (I nicknamed him Bobby), gestured over to a slew of cold pizzas while talking to the pizzas instead of me, and said pick one.
Bobby then proceeded to talk to another employee about my order, which I was meant to overhear and possibly interrupt to add more food. I didn't, so everyone went about their business and my pizza slice was tossed into the oven. There were no verbal cues directed at me to pay, so I asked for a drink before this man could talk to the cash register while expecting me to telepathically know the total. "Oh you want a drink? Which one???" I chose my drink, sat down, and waited about 5 minutes before my pizza was warmed up.
The pizza. Triple sigh. Burnt cheese/topping on an unsalted cracker crust. I can't. Uncle Joe should know what Bobby is up to.
Dear Uncle Joe,
It's time to send the boy to trade school to learn basket weaving or whatever because he's driving away all your customers. Also, toss the family pizza recipe because it sucks too.
Sincerely, I want my $9 and hope for...
Read moreI genuinely love uncle joes, some of the best pizza i’ve had in the area and i love frequenting there on my lunch breaks. But i’m very disappointed in the service. I was just having a casual day when i went out on my lunch break and figured i should order some pizza from my favorite place! but even though i called probably a million times there was no answer so i was like oh okay they must be real backed up i’ll just go in person. To my surprise they were not open for business even though google and the sign on the door clearly indicated they should be open. There was no sign or anything about being closed and there was even a person behind the counter! now i’m not saying they’re terrible for having to close down the restaurant for a little, you know things happen but you could’ve at least picked up the phone and said you couldn’t take orders, or at least a sign on the door so i don’t look like a crazy person trying to break down the pizza place! I was very displeased by this and will have to take a break from my favorite pizza place, we just need some space apart for now considering i’m still very upset...
Read moreWe were traveling home from a wedding in Connecticut. We randomly stopped off the highway in Pittston. When we walked into Uncle Joe’s the first thing we saw was two rows of massive NY style pizzas with various toppings. The young man at the counter was very friendly and told us about the 2 slices and drink special. We had the Broccoli with white sauce slice which was fantastic. The meatlovers slice was excellent as well. We also had two slices of the plane cheese pizza. I was really impressed on how Uncle Joes was able to make a NY crust chewy and crispy at the same time. I also had their version Italian sandwich easily in the top five I ever had! The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was very clean especially the kitchen. Me and my wife are service industry vets and unfortunately it makes us very critical patrons. Uncle Joes pizza does not disappoint. The owner was kind and friendly. My only complaint is that Uncle Joe’s Pizza is 370 miles away from our home. It would be our go...
