The Prospector Entertainment — Restaurant in Placerville

You know, I'm not one to post bad reviews typically. I understand we all have bad experiences sometimes, but that doesn't necessarily mean a place is bad in general. But, I think my friend's and my own experience warrants some words.

We were tipsy, having a good time at the bar talking about our philosophies and various interests. My friend was being vulnerable about his difficulties and I was sharing my views on love as a guiding principle when faced with difficulties.

What my friend realized before I did, is that the lady behind the bar was mean-mugging us along with a couple of customers sitting next to us. They were all listening in on our conversation, snickering at us and mean-mugging us until we got the hint and left. Well, we got the hint.

I don't know what they thought they heard, or if they just presumed our political affiliation and decided not to serve us based on that bias alone. Irregardless, I have never felt so unwelcome at a bar before. The vitriol was palpable, it all felt incredibly hateful. I will never return nor will I recommend this bar to anyone.

This might be a great place to get some drinks and listen to music, so long as it's not construed or is apparent that you have different views on the world then the staff and the regulars. That is the impression I was left with, and that is...

This place is super cool! I love how they have arcade games downstairs and then a separate music room/bar upstairs with plenty of seating and an outdoor patio. They have a wide selection of beer and wine, and the bartender is very sweet! I hope this place does really well, because I hope to keep...

So much fun doing karaoke here. They have a bar/venue upstairs. Downstairs is an arcade with vintage pinball machines and multiple arcade games. The owners are really nice people and are very welcoming.🙂 Sunny, the bartender, is really sweet and serves with a smile every time💜....
