Been to El Toro in Zionsville before, but first time at the Plainfield location. I would say this location was much cool than Zionsville. One thing that stood out is their birthday celebrations. When they come out to sing, they come out with snare drums, sparklers and the whole restaurant has sparklers built into the walls that shoot up when they sing. It’s pretty energetic and unique. We saw 2 of them and unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of it since our coworker’s birthday wasn’t until the next day. Back to the review though. We came for an after work dinner and had 10 people. They were able to accommodate well. They had a great range of unique and fun drinks and large menu for food. I had two or three different types of margaritas. They were all pretty good. I’d say a little on the weaker side, but that is to be expected with bigger places. They also had a great presentation for each drink. They had like dry ice in a couple and it was pretty cool. I liked it for the first drink, but after that, was a little of an annoyance since it kinda splashes the drink on the table and your arm a little. But no biggie. Food was good. I got the quesabirria. It was good, but wasn’t the best I have had. Their tomatillo wasn’t too hot unfortunately for me (I like super spicy). Overall, good place. I would go again, but not as a regular occasion, more of special occasion or birthdays. A little stronger drinks and more higher spice options would be ideal. But I think for most Americans looking for Mexican cuisine, this is a great option! Totally recommend (I am just picky)

El Toro in Plainfield, IN, is a standout destination for Mexican cuisine lovers. The restaurant boasts a warm and vibrant atmosphere with colorful decor that immediately sets a festive tone. The another USP of this restaurant is the location. Its at the plaza and it has outside door seating available. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes from sizzling fajitas and hearty burritos to flavorful enchiladas and tacos. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic spices, delivering a rich and satisfying taste. Their margaritas are particularly popular, available in various flavors and sizes, perfect for pairing with your meal. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave feeling satisfied. The staff at El Toro is friendly and attentive, providing prompt service and making sure diners have a pleasant experience. Whether you're visiting for a casual lunch, a family dinner, or a night out with friends, El Toro offers a welcoming environment and delicious food that will keep you coming back. For anyone in Plainfield seeking a genuine taste of Mexican cuisine, El Toro is a must-visit.

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Hendricks Co! The atmosphere is top notch (fun, friendly & very attentive staff). The manager comes by our table every time we have been there to make sure everything is to our liking. Friday & Sat nights at 6pm they have a DJ sound party which takes the experience to yet another level. It's not over powering at all. We could still chat amongst our table easily. The food is excellent. Our entire party has consistently been highly impressed every visit. The portions are VERY generous & presentation of cocktails are beautiful/sometimes jaw dropping from surprises (good solid drinks regarding the alcohol). You wont be disappointed. I had the Acapulco Special tonight.... DELICIOUS!!!! Cant wait for out next visit. We keep trying a different dish everytime & are never disappointed :)

If you're looking for a place to indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine, El Toro Mexican Restaurant in Plainfield, IN is the ultimate destination. This place is a culinary gem that offers a vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and mouthwatering dishes that will transport you straight to Mexico.

Appetizers: El Toro's appetizers are the perfect way to kick off your meal. We started with the Queso Fundido, a gooey, cheesy delight served with warm tortillas. The cheese was perfectly melted and had a rich, savory flavor that was simply irresistible. Next, we tried the Guacamole – freshly made and bursting with the flavors of ripe avocados, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. It was creamy, tangy, and paired wonderfully with the crispy tortilla chips. The Nachos Supreme were a hit as well, loaded with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole. Each bite was a fiesta of flavors!

Drinks: El Toro's drink menu is a celebration in itself. Their Margaritas are a must-try – we opted for the classic lime margarita, which was perfectly balanced with a hint of sweetness and a refreshing citrus kick. For those who prefer something fruity, the Mango Margarita is a tropical delight that's both sweet and tangy. If you're a fan of tequila, their Tequila Sunrise is a vibrant and refreshing cocktail that's sure to brighten your day. And for beer lovers, El Toro offers a great selection of Mexican beers, including Corona and Modelo, which pair perfectly with their flavorful dishes.

Entrees: The entrees at El Toro are nothing short of spectacular. I ordered the Carne Asada, a tender and juicy grilled steak served with rice, beans, and warm tortillas. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, making each bite a savory delight. My dining companion opted for the Chicken Enchiladas, which were smothered in a rich, flavorful red sauce and topped with melted cheese. The chicken was tender and the enchiladas were bursting with flavor. We also tried the Shrimp Fajitas, which came sizzling hot with a mix of bell peppers, onions, and succulent shrimp. The fajitas were served with warm tortillas, allowing us to create our own delicious wraps.

Desserts: No meal at El Toro is complete without dessert. We indulged in the Churros, which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with cinnamon sugar and served with a side of chocolate sauce for dipping. They were a sweet and satisfying end to our meal. The Flan was another highlight – creamy, smooth, and topped with a caramel sauce that added a delightful sweetness. For those who love ice cream, the Fried Ice Cream is a must-try. It's a scoop of vanilla ice cream coated in a crispy shell, drizzled with honey, and topped with whipped cream. Each bite was a heavenly combination of textures and flavors.

Atmosphere and Service: El Toro's atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful decor and lively music that sets the perfect mood for a fun dining experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to make recommendations or answer any questions. The service is prompt, ensuring that you can enjoy your meal without any delays. In conclusion, El Toro Mexican Restaurant in Plainfield, IN is a five-star dining experience that offers delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere.

Whether you're craving appetizers, entrees, or desserts, El Toro has something to satisfy every palate. So, gather your friends and family, and head over to El Toro for a fiesta of flavors that you won't...
