Long version is that last 2 times I gave this location a chance they failed.
First time they were out of Ice AND Lemonades. They will sure sell you drinks without telling you first. I watched as countless paid for their drinks and then were disappointed that they now get to enjoy a nice warm soda with their meal. The place was so filthy too, the lobby was a wreck.
The second visit was a month later and I was hesitant but went anyway. This time, they had signs up, Out of CO2. So now they have ice but no sodas. They did have Lemonade so we got that.
3 of us got the Al Pastor Chicken. Burrito Bowl and Tacos.
We go outside on their patio to eat and my family tells me the chicken is cold. I tasted it and all of our chicken was about 70 degrees or so, maybe less. We aren't going to get sick so I go inside to tell the manager.
I let him know and he gets worried because that shouldn't be and he grabs his thermometer. Up until this point, I am chill and am just wanting him to make this right. He probes his chicken and its 140 degrees. How?!? I bring in some chicken to show him and he is shocked how cold it was. He offers to give us a couple scoops of chicken to replace ours. (do we pick all of the cold chicken off of our meals with toppings all over it and replace the chicken? That seems ridiculous)
I ask my family and at this point we are getting frustrated and they say just get our money back and we will go somewhere else.
I ask the manager if we can get our money back and this is where it went downhill fast. He got very irritated that I even ask that but said he would. Then asked how much it was and what we ordered. He tells me it probably got cold because we went outside to eat it. It was hot outside and we were out there 3 minutes tops. He is making excuses. He gives me a partial refund and refused to refund the drinks since that's not what I complained about and my daughters food which was a kids meal. The lemonade was nasty I found out after we left.
What I didn't know was that we all 3 ordered that chicken and when I went outside and the last person got their chicken, there was barely any chicken left to serve. So she got just a little. WHEN I WENT AND TALKED TO THE MANAGER, THE CHICKEN WAS FULL. Meaning they just filled it up and someone there knew they just filled it up and didn't say anything.
The attitude this manger had once I asked for our money back and the way he handled it just set me off. I let him know about it right then and he kept trying to say have a nice day. He honestly didn't care about how our meal was or how filthy his store was. What I thought would end up as just replacing our meal or giving our money back ended up in an argument and customers who will never return to that location.
AND - if you do try to call or email Chipotle customer service, they will not actually help you. They do not care about how stores are ran or actual issues. They could barely listen to me for 30 seconds without cutting me off and telling me they'd send me an email and send me a copy of the receipt.
After I sent them the receipt and even showed them the partial refund to be honest and upfront. They replied with the refund was for the affected items so that's all they'll do.
You may think I am just difficult but we just got back from a 10 day vacation and ate at so many restaurants and not one time did we have a bad experience until we got to this restaurant.
The owner of this location should not take their negative reviews lightly. There are several about food qty on to-go orders and cleanliness.
The problem starts at the top. They just don't care.

Read moreBeyond disappointed in Chipotle tonight. Chipotle is one of my boyfriend and I favorite places to eat. We frequently go to the Plainfield location, sense it’s the closest to us. I received very terrible service tonight. Granted they were busy, but I’m not a rude customer and I don’t mind waiting, still no excuse. So as I started my order, one chicken bowl and one veggie burrito to go. On my chicken bowl, I repeatedly told them no salsa with the chunky tomato’s, as the work continued to put them on. Then asked me what else. I told him the person I was taking it home to would not eat and the tomatoes would have to come off. No one offered to help. So I asked for a spoon and took the tomatoes and onions off and had to dispose of them myself, with multiple workers watching. Then I my burrito, i double checked and asked the worker if he had put the corn salsa on it. He replied with yes, it’s under everything else. I paid and left, made my 15-20 minute drive home. Got home, my boyfriend furious I had to pick tomatoes off, called the store to talk to the manager. He basically got blown off, and said if he wanted he could bring it back and get it re-made. My boyfriend told him, if they were going to do something about it, why not remake it when I was standing there picking tomatoes off of it. Finally, we move on and I cut into my burrito and guess what....no corn salsa. I’m devastated because the only reason I go to chipotle for is their corn salsa! Just a terrible experience. Read moreI loved chipotle anytime I'm grabbing something quick for lunch or dinner so on average 2 or 3 times a week chipotle was always my choice I love the fresh taste and it's overall a good quick meal but after my experience today at the plainfield indiana store I will no longer eat at chipotle no matter the location now I order a salad and a burrito in a bowl as we are going down the line for both of my orders and I'm telling them what I want on each they are putting next to nothing on so I had to ask for extra on everything in all of my years of eating at chipotle I have never seen anything like this happen so after they finish making my order they ring me up and tell me it's 38 and some change so I ask how it came out that much for two things we'll they charged me more for everything since I asked for a little more of everything do to the fact that the put next to nothing on there originally then they tell me they charged me 50 cent for the tortilla shell on my burrito which I never new that was a thing since I ordered a burrito I thought the shell was part of the burrito but the guy at the register who is training what looked like a new or newer guy says no you have us mixed up with another restaurant as we talk and try to figure out why my order came out so pricy neither one of them were very nice I will never eat at another one I will find a new favorite place to eat...
