Well let's start with the good part. I went on a Sunday for lunch. Dessert was good and each dish was served hot. Now to the ugh part. Every dish didn't look like it had any care when cooked. The taste was definitely missing something. My favorite Chinese take out has more love given to it. The sushi looked like it sat there for a while. I tried the hibachi where you get your own ingredients expecting you made something yummy but my first bite I spit it in my napkin. I didn't bother to just go with swallowing it. Seafood was plentiful but small in comparison. General Tai's and coconut shrimp were overdone and too much breading. Noodles were bland and small. Soup was basic and again lacked flavor. I wasn't feeling the Chinese food so went with American. What could go wrong right? Mac and cheese was cold and mashed potatoes definitely had the came out of a bag taste. Gravy did as well. I'd get new chefs. I'm not sure how this place gets amazing reviews. For me to come all the way to Plainfield I truly expected something much better. I won't be back. I'd travel up north or south to get something more edible for the money.

BIG MISTAKE! I wrongly hoped for something better than what we got. Open space with clean food bars in serving area filled with mediocre Chinese food. Hibachi area is self service to fill the plate and hand it to a worker that cooks it up on a grill. He doesn't speak or answer any questions. He expected us to put all items on a single plate which means mixing raw chicken and shrimp with the noodles and veggies. Used multiple plates to prevent cross contamination and he asked "multiple orders?" But we didn't understand and said "no, we just don't want everything touching the raw chicken" and he shook his head and joined everything together on the grill. All in all, it was mediocre at best. The Chinese food in the main buffet area was standard and nothing worth mentioning but what I learned today is that I'll NEVER return to this place after wasting time, calories and over $40 for a bad meal. Small shrimp, imitation crab meat and the steak looks like "steak-umms" so none of it tastes great or good. The best I can say is this place is might be 2/10 if I'm feeling generous

The food was alright, sort of bland, but overall clean. Service was alright but definitely needs improvement. I was seated and never given a high chair for my child even though I requested it. Finally after asking a few times the server brought one. Price for buffet is certainly over priced compared to other buffets.$16.99 +tax a person plus $1.79 +tax for drinks Added $4 to my check, when I asked what it was, the manager stated “I add 10% tip for my employees since many people don’t tip”. I don’t have a problem with tipping, I even left more on the table for the latina waiter that actually serviced us through the end although if you have to force tips onto the customer you should be paying your employees more, also with forced tip where’s the incentive to provide decent service if they’re guaranteed tip. Overall clean and alright but overpriced compared to many other Asian buffets with a larger selection.

Best buffet I’ve ever been to! My step dad, sister, and little sister go here every other weekend with my step dad. The service is wonderful and so nice! Since me and my family go here all the time, the man in the front knows us by now and we’ve become good friends with him! The food is so tasty and always served hot when I get up to choose. There was only one time I didn’t like it and that was when they changed the sugar breads. I’m a picky eater and before I eat my food, I look at it, smell it, then I eat it. Anyways, after coming back, the sugar breads went back to normal and I was happy with it! The bathrooms are clean and I love how whenever I go to the bathroom, they are always filled with toilet paper. I usually have to at some point go in the bathrooms to see that there is no toilet paper and have to ask someone to fill them up again, but this never happens here even after going here for 3 years.

When I came back to the buffet, I was surprised they hired an Hispanic, I think, waiter at an Asian buffet. DON’T GET ME WRONG! Me, my little sister, and dad are Hispanics and my step sister is half white and half Hispanic. I was just surprised because out of all the Asian buffets I’ve been to, I’ve never seen any Hispanics work in an Asian buffet, but that just made me like the place more because to me that’s good costumer service! This was during the COVID-19 so the Hispanic dude was asking us to pick what we would like while he held the plate for us while wearing gloves. He asked us in Spanish but I honestly don’t know Spanish, neither do my sisters, but I simply pointed at the things I wanted and he understood.

My review on this would be a total 5 star!💫🌟⭐️ Best buffet I’ve...

Honestly not worth the price in my opinion.

When I go to a Chinese buffet there are a couple things I anticipate; okay food, horrible restrooms and cheap food. Fu Yuan met two of the expectations.

Let's talk about the price. For a Chinese buffet, they are EXPENSIVE. At $15.89 a plate and $2.35 per drink ($18.24 a person before tax and tip), they are not cheap. That about what I expect for a restaurant with table service. Not a buffet. Especially not for the quality of the food.

They also put our tip on tab. Which I don't really understand since this isn't the kind of place you really receive service. Our table was bussed as we were leaving and we each got a single refill. I don't mind tipping but usually you tip for service.

The food was okay. It wasn't terrible but it also wasn't great. Some of the dishes were fresh like orange chicken and pizza. While other dishes had gone noticeably stale like the rice, noodles and sweet and sour pork. Their ice cream is self scoop which is a pleasant change from most places but also concerning if you think about it.

The restrooms are awful. The doors are tore up. The hand soap was watered down and the hand dryers don't work. Not to mention half of the lights were out.

So, if you really want Chinese food, you should probably go up the road to Panda express. You can get a family deal for $30 instead of spending $110...

Our family met here for lunch on the Sunday after Christmas this year. It was the 1st time my grand daughter has met her great grandfather and great grandmother. The variety of food on the buffet was outstanding. They had everything you could think of and more. The food was hot and fresh, as well as, delicious. The Sushi rolls were fresh and the variety was great. We had a group of 11 and the waitress was excellent. She kept our drinks full and our empty plates were quickly removed. She was very personable and kind with our family. She took great care of us and in turn we left her a well deserved tip and thank you. The overall look of the restaurant was clean ,but, it does need a make over. They only had 1 toilet stall for handicap and other patrons to use in the men's rest room and 2 urinals. 1 urinal was out of service and was covered up with a card board sign. I'm not sure about the women's restrooms, but, for the number of people this place could hold ,they need to add 1 or 2 more stalls and urinals to handle their capacity. Dont let this keep from enjoying the restaurant. The prices are reasonable compared to other Chibese companies restaurants...
