Iguana's Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Plainfield

Ordered on doordash, first time eating here. So delicious! I ordered a chipotle burrito, with rice & beans & a side of guacamole.

This place still has old school hospitality that I haven’t seen in a long time. They still serve their to go meals with house made salsa and house made chips! Almost no one includes salsa and chips with their to go meals anymore, and I’m so happy the chips were house made! This alone made me so happy. It’s the little, sweet things like this I miss about the world.

The burrito was delicious. Loved the chunks of tomatoes, peppers and onions, real food in my burrito. The chicken was tasty. The rice and beans were good. Guacamole was very fresh and a generous size that actually impressed me. I’m so happy I ate here. This place is a new favorite spot. Thank you Iguanas. Last week we went out to lunch after church as a family... this is not a big deal for most families. But for us it's different. We have two special needs children. I can't remember the last time we all went out to a restaurant together. It's so challenging to venture out with both J and C. There's so many variables to consider and manage to avoid the potential meltdowns. Even the best laid plans often go awry with J... My wife and I frequent Mexican restaurants. We wanted to try a place that we've never gone before and we found iguana's. We will 100% be back. The food here, starting with the salsa, all just tasted a bit different. I don't think this is the right way to put it, but it tasted a litttttttle bit off, but in the best possible way!

The best way to describe the salsa when we went was, "fresh and not very chunky" (personally, I like the chunks but my wife hates them).
