I wanted to write this review to give a Major Shout Out/Compliment to manager Lindsey(ay?). I work in the area & am a Retail Store Manager myself., since discovering there was a Freebirds in the area, I frequent this location on Preston Rd. in "Headquarters Village" at least 3-4x a week. Last week in particular, I noticed I never saw her.., not sure if she was on an earlier shift or was just off that week, but I wanted to comment on how different my experience was when she was NOT there. Every day last week, they were either out of chicken (both white/dark meat), out of veggies, out of sour cream, out of Spicy tomatillo, etc, etc., then I go in today, Lindsey's there, & everything is fully stocked, nice & fresh, & the store is running like a well oiled machine.
Great Employees like this are VERY hard to find these days., I deal with every aspect of hiring, training, encouragement, discipline, termination, etc. at my store., & all I can say is I'd love to have a superstar like Lindsey working for us. We have other employees that frequent this location & would back up my sentiments 100%. Lindsey has a fantastic personality, is obviously an incredibly attentive & diligent manager and always gives phenomenal customer service. Freebirds, please do ALL you can to not only retain this employee, but explore growth opportunities with Lindsey as I believe this employee is 100% capable of being a Franchisee, if not above & beyond.
Don't let a great employee like this be overlooked, at least consider a little pay bump/some acknowledgement for the exceptional customer service, as I surely do appreciate it!! In the food space, there is massive competition in that area, & the experience I've had when Lindsey's not there makes me not want to waste my time going there bc I know it will be a lackluster experience in comparison. Read moreI'll start by saying we have been eating at freebirds for years, maybe every other month. We ordered two menu items, the spicy chicken burrito, freebird size, and fritos burrito monster size. The online ordering was acting a little finicky, but the orders went through. We picked up our order and checked it to see a normal sized burrito and very tiny one. Of course we were confused. Looking at the ticket, the sizes were printed there, but each seemed a size smaller. My husband went to question it, and get the correct sizes but they weren't looking to be helpful. They explained the basically kids sized one just had chicken in it. Looking at the ticket, it did only say chicken- I'm guessing the online ordering that was acting weird was the cause of that. (Still, who would order a $13 menu item then say they only want the meat? That doesn't make any sense.) He countered with questioning the size of the 'monster' burrito, since it seemed to have everything in it, why was it a size smaller than usual? No reply. Just stares. It was clear they did not feel like being helpful. Not wanting to argue, we just left. We'll just choose a different location...
Read moreReally unhappy with this place. I ordered - bowl on 7/16. When I received it, the meat was very clearly undercooked. Many pieces were completely red and looked like they hadn’t touched the grill at all. The picture below is after I put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, wanting to cook the meat more, before ultimately deciding that I didn’t feel comfortable eating it and just threw the whole bowl away. I called to ask for a refund. The manager “Brittany” immediately got defensive and stated she cooked the meat so she knew it was fine because she cooks it to medium. I offered to send her the pictures. At that point she agreed to refund the meal. I confirmed twice that she was refunding it and she said she yes both times. I waited a week and still hadn’t received a refund. I decided to call back to check on it. I spoke with a manager named Alejandro who was very polite and professional. My negative review is in no way a reflection on him. He confirmed that no refund had been issued but he was going to do it himself.
