Short story: Came for breakfast. Good coffee. Fair warning: they only have sandwiches for breakfast (as opposed to plates), but they are good. Would definitely come back when I am in the mood for a breakfast sandwich.

Serendipity brought me here. I went to one of my usual breakfast haunts when it should have been open, but, well, it wasn't, so I ended up here, which was a happy coincidence.

I looked for places nearby and learned that this place also does breakfast. I have been to this location when it was two different restaurants and still sad about the seafood place that closed (delicious aguachile).

They have many coffee choices. I was boring and got the drip coffee, which was good.

For food, I tried the Lox. It was good. I think it had cucumber which was an interesting new twist for me. They are generous with the cream cheese, so good news if you want that but fair warning to let them know if you want just a "schmear". If I got the same sandwich again, I might opt for "easy cream cheese".

The service was perfect. Michelle was remarkably kind and gracious. She was engaging and welcoming with all of the customers.

The food and coffee came out quick and they have a drive thru if you need that.

The location is small, which gives it a cozy vibe. It I lived in Downtown Plano, I'd probably be walking down here for breakfast on the regular.

There is also a little outdoor seating if you want to hang out and take advantage of the cooler morning weather while you dine.

Definitely worth...

I recently had the pleasure of stumbling upon Preston's Cafe in Plano, and I have to say, it’s hands down one of the most charming and welcoming cafes I’ve ever visited. As someone who's not from the area, I’m so grateful that I made the decision to pop in. I had passed by the day before and decided to give it a try the next day—and I’m so glad I did! The staff here is absolutely incredible—so friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was being embraced by the cafe’s positive energy. It’s clear that this place isn’t just about serving food and coffee; it’s about creating an experience, and the care and thought that goes into everything is palpable. The food—WOW. You can tell that real love is poured into every dish. Every bite felt comforting and thoughtful, like someone had crafted it with a personal touch. The coffee was top-notch, and the pastries, though I didn’t try them this time, looked delicious. The atmosphere was perfect, with great music playing in the background and a steady flow of customers (busy but not overwhelming), making it feel lively but never rushed. It’s rare to find a place that feels like a true hidden gem. If you’re in Plano or passing through, do yourself a favor and check out Preston’s Cafe. It’s a spot where food is truly a love language, and I can’t wait...

Cute and clean cafe. I found this place when I was looking for a lunch time pick me up and was in NEED of coffee. I ordered thr cookie butter latte and croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage. The coffee was nice and not too sweet in my opinion, but Im also not a coffee conniseur. The breakfast sandwich was great, toasty, savory, and each individual ingredient was solid quality and I WILL be back, especially because they do all day breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, they bring your order out quickly and keep the cafe clean, making sure to promptly clean and clear tables after patrons leave. There is an outdoor seating area, which would be great if you brought your pet and they have a drive thru. I didnt notice any available outlets for people using laptops to work, but considering the limited seating, I think that was a smart move. However this is the perfect place to meet up for breakfast/lunch and coffee or just go alone. And I believe the bathrooms are single occupancy, but I didnt check. Would highly reccomend checking...
