Five Guys — Restaurant in Plantation

Friendly and helpful staff? Negative. Those must be fake reviews. I came in for a pick up and stood in front of a staff of about 7 or more who were having side talks and ignored me standing there. This doesn’t include the cashier making it 8. The cashier was helping someone in line but as soon as she was done she also proceeded in conversations with them as if I wasn’t standing there waiting for service. No one assisted me for a good 10 mins or so. I moved over to the order line. After the sup/lead came out another cashier came and hesitantly offered to help asking me to go back to the pick up area after I told her I was there for a pick up. Afterwards, I had to wait for the order that was supposed to already be prepared to be started. Then, I had to show multiple staff members my order before they provided me with an item they missed with my order. Customer service was terrible and the staff was not friendly or helpful. They lacked professionalism and were heavily engaged in personal chit chat until the sup/lead came out. Don’t order pickup from this location. If you do, expect to wait longer and to be prioritized after walk in customers.

For the sheer lack of attention and professionalism from the staff I wouldn’t even recommend walk in to be honest. It was unreal how they would look right at me, not greet me or acknowledge me, and then continue in their personal...

I do not see the hype in paying over $10 got a burger that is supposedly award winning or a favorite..I enjoy shake shack in sawgrass way more for better price point and tastier. I ordered the little Bacon Cheeseburger and even though the patty seemed to be fresh and smashed, I barely tasted the bacon and there was a lot of bacon on there so I appreciate that but it seemed to lack flavor. Same with the cheese in burger..didn't taste or enjoy it as much as other cheeseburgers..and it's over $10 for burger alone, then have to pay like $4 more for fries..I like spicy so I went with Cajun..they served me the normal way and when I went to ask if fries were normal or Cajun, they apologized and gave me the Cajun seasoning so I can place the fries and seasoning in a paper bag and shake it up myself. Not sure if it would taste the same as if it were cooked with seasoning originally but I didn't think it was spicy at all. Overall, wouldn't return and I just think better burgers for better...

Let me start saying we love Five Guys, since we tried it for the first time, we haven´t tried any other burger, is just not worth it order somewhere else. We are truly loyal clients from this fast food chain. That being said, the reason why we are giving 2 starts at this time is because on our last visit we saw the manager Steve yell and humiliate one of the employees in front of their co-workers and the clients. By the time we were seeing this, we felt very uncomfortable for the injustice. I don´t know if the employee did something wrong or not, but even if he did, good supervisors correct their team in private and congratulate them in public. Franchise owner: Be careful of the people you hire for your team, both managers and crew, they are the face of your business and seeing someone being treated with such disrespect tells a lot about the company culture.
