We visited on a Friday at 7.15 pm. The parking was okay as its next to a few large stores, but we had to park a few rows away. The restaurant was really busy and the guy told us there was about a 15 minute wait. The space to wait indoors was very small and didn't appear to have any chairs, however he motioned us over quickly to sit at a kind of bar like table near the kitchen, so did not have to wait at all. The family in front of us had to wait longer as we were only two people. The food was good and we tried to avoid just having the usual sushi, although we did try one sample of it. The sushi was good but nothing amazing. The Harusame salad was very good and a huge portion, (thoroughly recommend it). I had Octopus salad and Miso soup. The octopus was slightly chewy and the soup was as you imagine. For main course I had teriyaki Salmon over vegetables and my Girlfriend had Pan fried Yakisoba noodles Combo, both very good. Two mugs of Matcha green tea, excellent, and I had two Sapporo Beers. Girlfriend had one Plum wine. The food arrived very hot and the portions huge, beer was very cold. A very nice place and reasonably priced, our bill for the above $78 Approx
Girlfriends Notes.. The food was hot and the portions were big. The service was good, the price was very reasonable for the amount of food we ordered. I liked the decor - there were lots of plastic star wars/superheros on the shelves, and there was a Darth Vader plastic figure standing in my plate of sushi. I would definitely come back again, perhaps for lunch to try the Ramen. Update. We went for lunch and I had the Lunch box, very nice. G/F had Sushi which she said again unimpressive. We recommend trying the hot dishes instead. Very cheap for a lunch and overall good. Update 2. We went back for a dinner and both had the Pork Ramen which is HUGE! You need to try this, a fellow diner commented as she passed to leave saying, Boy i should have...
Read moreI am very sorry to write this review, I was a client of theirs for many years and today was my last visit to their location. I made a reservation to celebrate Valentine's Day with my best friends and from the beginning the experience was terrible.
First: we arrived and there were two people missing for our reservation who were in the location next door, we went in to look for a place and the owner told us no, that we should wait outside and when everyone was there we should go back in.
Second: My son was with us and I brought him food since my son is allergic to shellfish, when I took the food out for my son to eat again the owner told me that it was not allowed, I explained to her that it was my son's food and she only offered me fried chicken with potatoes which was the only thing they offer on the children's menu.
Third: They should change the person who takes the orders because the lady who takes them does not understand English well and always makes mistakes with the orders. This observation was repeated every time we visited the restaurant, but it never bothered us because the owner treated customers better (that's not the case anymore).
Fourth: We placed 3 appetizer orders, of which only 2 arrived.
Fifth: As if everything that happened wasn't enough, there was a hair on another friend's plate. Although the owner didn't charge for the plate, there had already been too many inconveniences to make us decide not to return to...
Read moreWe visited this place today and we had a really bad experience with the owner, Toshi. My son had his little box of apple juice and the owner came to our table and took it away from him. I understand they don't accept food or drinks from outside. Initially, when he first mentioned it, I apologized and put the little apple juice on the side for my son to drink after we left, but this was not enough for this man. He decided to come back and literally took the little juice box away from the table without even asking. My husband explained to him that there are people with some dietary restrictions and the owner responded that he would need to see a Doctor's note. I was in disbelief that he wanted to see a Doctor's note in order for my son to have his little apple juice. This man's deplorable actions lost customers today, because we would never come back to this place. He did not care that this little apple juice was for a small child. Behind that "friendly smile" that he uses to greet people is really a person who has lost touch with humanity, does not care about kids, and is probably only worried about...
