Whiskey Neat Plantation — Restaurant in Plantation

There was a soccer game or football game and the place was packed. Not able to find a seat and staff didn’t acknowledge me. A table was open but it said it was reserved at 10:13 pm. Had no choice but to leave. People coming in and leaving. Just people with set up not there to accommodate more people. A very large whole section just with a huge couch.——-04/18/2025 Updated Review—Often go to the FT Lauderdale Whiskey Neat location. Always eat the same. Churrasco Steak. It’s so good. Plantation location was such a disappointment I almost left and went to FtLauderdale Location. Veggies were not grilled or roasted as other location. So weird the same exact quarter deck company has night and day taste. Back kitchen in Plantation rushes dishes out and does not even season food. I for the first time had to ask for salt and pepper. I have ate the same plate over 7 times with same exact perfect consistency in FTLauderdale location. If you care about taste then drive some more and skip the Plantation location. Hardly any seats because of the spill over of Quarterdeck attached. FT Lauderdale keeps patrons separate and crowd is more upscale. Added pictures as proof. Cute bar attached to quarterdeck. Good music and atmosphere. Manager was super friendly and helpful. However our waiter, which I will not mention his name, was not very friendly. He had a personality of not wanting to be there, seemed annoyed with absolutely everything and his attention to our table was extremely poor. We had to look for him for refills, plus a lot more I could list. I understand we all have our bad days or can get frustrated when busy and that’s why I won’t mention his name. Thankfully the manager helped with making things right. With that said to me it’s just an extension of quarter decks with same food but a very large selection of whiskey. I heard about Whiskey Neat from some friends and had to check it out... especially for the speakeasy vibes. When we got to Quarterdecks we asked the hostess where Whiskey Neat was and she pointed us to the rear of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the night we visited had a bunch of people hanging out watching the Canes play. It was late in the game and everyone was pretty wasted... and really loud. TVs were also cranked up really loud. Staff did nothing to try and keep the noise down. You could tell people sitting around them were visibly annoyed. The drinks were good. Had a great smoked old fashioned. Was expecting better and will have to go again on a night with no games or obnoxious drunks. Would be a better vibe if there were...
