I’m writing to formally report a very disappointing and unprofessional experience I had at one of your stores a few weeks ago.
When I visited the store, I was helped by a woman named Dina. I’m not entirely sure of her background, but she appeared to be of mixed race — possibly Black and Asian — and I only mention this to help identify her. When I walked in, she was lying in a gravity chair, which is the product my husband and I had been seriously considering purchasing. As soon as she saw us, she quickly got up and approached me in an overly familiar and inappropriate manner, saying things like, “Hey girl, how can I help you?”
What was most alarming was that I could clearly smell alcohol on her breath. Her behavior was erratic and unprofessional, and she even used profanity — including calling me the “B-word” multiple times in what she seemed to think was a playful tone. I was incredibly put off by the interaction and didn’t feel comfortable continuing the conversation, let alone making a purchase.
Hoping for a better experience, I went to a different Relax The Back location in West Palm Beach a few days later — only to find that she was working there as well. This was extremely frustrating, especially after traveling a long distance and genuinely trying to make a purchase. Her presence again prevented us from buying the chair we had been seriously considering for a long time.
I find it completely unacceptable that an employee representing your brand would be working under the influence, using offensive language, and acting unprofessionally with customers. This situation not only ruined our shopping experience, but also cost us time, effort, and trust in your company.
I strongly urge you to take appropriate action. Someone under the influence should not be working in a customer-facing role, especially when dealing with high-ticket items and customers seeking a professional, helpful environment.
I look forward to hearing how this matter will...
Read moreI am guessing we met with Dina based upon other posts about this location. Not sure what these other people saw but we got a dense empty shell of nothing from your sales associate. If it was Dina she never introduced herself when my wife and I walked in yesterday on 8/24. We were in to look at the massage chairs. The girl in your showroom was sitting sprawled out in one of the chairs. Another couple came in after us with their child and were looking at beds. Your sales associate never greeted them either. We approached the only 2 massage chairs you had on display and she finally got up and said this one doesn't work. Not sure how you sell anything when the displays don't work. When I went to look at the other chair the brochure and reading material were laying on the floor I had to pick them up to read it. The only working chair had a bottle of windex laying on it and dirty used paper towels laying on the floor next to the chair. My wife inquired about the features of the chair and your associates answer was well it has the same features as the broken one plus some more. Great explanation of the features to potential customers. When my wife asked what those features were she just stared at my wife. Needless to say in just 5 short minutes you lost a potentially expensive purchase due to your sales associates lack of engagement and knowledge. We walked out and purchased a massage chair from a different company with a more friendly and engaging sales representative. We will never shop there again and will definitely let everyone we know about our experience and let them know to go elsewhere. I am sure you have cameras to verify thos horrible experience and service. Good luck selling anything in the future with this...
Read moreI am an executive who works remotely and spends at least 8 hours a day in a chair. I came here to find an ergonomic chair and was very lucky that David P happened to be working when I came in.
I was happy with the store selection and what I purchased, but I would pay twice what I spent for David’s extensive knowledge and service. Seriously!
Not only did he work with me to find a chair that fit my dimensions, but he also personally helped me adjust it to the perfect place. This took some time but David was patient and kind and helped me understand the ergonomics of the best way to sit. It became quite clear he knew everything there was to know on the subject!
After I made my decision on the chair I asked him if he knew as much about sleeping and pillow ergonomics as he did about chairs— and he did!
Over the past I have been through multiple pillow fails and asked if he could tell me what might be best. He asked me a bunch of questions on the way I sleep, brought over a few options and then showed me how to use them best for the way I sleep. It turns out I have been using my pillows completely wrong and not only did he find one that fit me, he taught me a a better way to sleep on my stomach. INCREDIBLE.
He even went out of his way after my chair was delivered to help me get it set up right, so it was exactly how he had adjusted it for me in the store. Who knew such incredible service still existed?!
I have David P to thank for helping me understand my personal ergonomics and finding the best products that suit me. You can’t buy that...
