I am so sorry to be writing this review on a restaurant that I go to often. I was actually looking for a place that wouldn’t have the usual Mother’s Day rush. When I walked in, I was pleased to see that they were almost empty of customers.
First of all, we called the server (Eric) before leaving this review in the hopes that he would apologize and make a real attempt to make things right with the customer. But that did not happen, so here goes.
The server took an extremely long time to come over and ask us for our order. When our order did arrive, my son’s sandwich which is called a “melt” did not even have cheese on it. When my son informed him of this he asked him what cheese he wants, and instead of bringing a new sandwich he brought a cup of shredded cheese. You think he would have noticed that my son did not even eat his sandwich, and apologize or offer him a new sandwich. But no, he said nothing even when my son told him he didn’t want the sandwich anymore.
We left there extremely disappointed, and I told my son I’d be writing this review. My son asked me not to write it, and instead he called the server to express his discontent. Eric did say he was sorry but in a very disingenuous manner.
We completely understand that sometimes in restaurants the service can be affected by things beyond the server’s control, but it was the lack of empathy on the server’s part that was so disappointing and made the experience a bad one. What a bad start to what should have been a...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Riverside Market for over 25 years, and I’ve specifically been going to the Plantation location for the past four years since I moved to the area. When I first started visiting, the place had a fantastic, diverse craft beer selection on tap, which is one of the main reasons I kept coming back. However, over the last year and a half, I’ve noticed a significant decline in the beer selection, and it feels like there are more corners being cut, likely to save money, but not in ways that benefit the customer experience.
It’s not just me, but a group of friends and regulars who feel the same way. We’ve been discussing lately that we have the feeling this location is slowly heading toward closure, and we’re all concerned that if things don’t improve, we may have to start finding a new spot to spend our weekly visits. We usually spend about $75 per person when we come in, and the variety of beers on tap is a huge part of what makes it worth the trip for us.
I really hope this feedback helps, because I’d hate to see such a great spot lose its loyal customers. A craft beer place should have a wide selection of beers on tap, not just a stocked fridge. If you can bring back a more diverse and full tap list, I believe you’ll keep us and many others coming back for...
Read moreI don't like doing negative reviews, especially when they are not absolutely well deserved. I've enjoyed the location in Fort Laderdale several times and was always impressed. So, I was excited to try this location. I selected a beer from an impressive selection. The wall of coolers is full of so many choices it's hard to choose. I was disappointed to find my first sip was barely cold and not even close to being ice cold. We tried the wings and they weren't really crispy a little small and their sauce lacked flavor. My friend went for the burger and it looked awesome but he said it had an odd seasoning to it that took away from what should have been just a good beef taste. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it looked fantastic, I couldn't wait to take a bite. When I did I found a nice crispy crunch to it. So, I knew it was reheated on the flat top or in a pan. The problem was it was too crispy, dried out and no good soft juicy chunks of meet left. It was lightly smothered in a mustard based BBQ sauce. I end on a high praise for the fries that are a cross between home fries and steak fries. I enjoyed them very much. The atmosphere is awesome and friendly the girl serving us was kind, friendly and...
