Plantation Smile Care — Local services in Plantation

I recently went back to this office as I’ve been to them before and actually really liked them. This time I’m not sure what is happening. I went In for a cleaning but was advised to get a debrinement since it had been awhile which I agreed to and paid out of pocket after they told me it wasn’t covered by insurance which was fine. When I went to pay for the services done they told me I had also a past due balance from 3/4 years prior that nobody made me aware of when I made My appointment, nobody made me aware when I checked In and was only made aware upon check out which was in my opinion unprofessional. I paid Everything and returned a couple of weeks later for 2 cavity fills which I was Told was ran through my insurance and paid my price. Fast forward to months later they send a bill to my moms house for over $200 that insurance didn’t cover it? Which is a huge issue 1 I updated my address with them twice and they still sent it to my moms house not mine, and why tell me insurance covered everything if they in fact didn’t cover anything now I’m stuck with this massive bill that I cant Afford right at this moment due to not working. Just super unacceptable. Besides all of these issues with the front staff the girl who cleans my teeth, she’s very nice and personable, but never in my life have I gotten A cleaning multiple times a regular cleaning at that and have had a sore jaw, sore teeth, a lot of bleeding and she hurts me so bad I can barely handle sitting there for the time she takes to clean them. I’m sorry to say but there is no way if I come every 3 months for regular cleanings as my family has gum disease and I come That often as a precaution to make sure I don’t get gum disease, that my mouth should be this sore and bloody. Such an unpleasant time to be here now. I unfortunately cancelled my appt coming up because I’m just very unhappy with how the staff handles business, the lack of listening when you go in for updates- even my last name is my maiden name which I changed Last time I was In as well that isn’t updated…. The sisters that own the practice are amazing and I love both of them, it’s just unfortunate that I will Not return because of...

Hmm Where do I start?!!! Well first I want to be honest and say when I first started going to this dentist everything was ok. Just ok, they never make you feel welcome but of course I needed services and at the time this facility was convenient for me because of the short distance. But every time I go in for a appt, the front staff never speak , always looking at you with a nasty look…. But I’ve witnessed other races come in and they smile and greet the others. Yes I am African American. I was not able to get this one particular front staff name but I gave a call to reschedule my appt… and she was being extremely disrespectful Hang up in my face multiple times threatening me with authorities all because I wanted to speak with the owner! Then lied about the owner not wanting to speak with me. This lady was extremely disrespectful and disgusting….THEY DO NOT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE AT ALL SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAYYY!!! I learned a long time ago stop going places only because it’s convenient, always go where you are...

Always a great experience. Been going to them for over 12 years. Never had a problem. Really sorry to hear about their father's passing. My parents were his clients, as was I and I still go to them. I will never forget what they did for my father on Thanksgiving. My daughter and family flew in from California for a family dinner I was cooking. Night before thanksgiving, my mother called me that they could not come because my father broke his bridge and could not chew. I called Dr Mankame at night, he answered the phone, and told me to bring my father to the office at 10 am Thanksgiving day. I picked him up and when we got to the office, the Doctor was waiting with his 2 daughters. They fixed his bridge and told us there is no charge. After all, it is Thanksgiving.
