Last night was my first visit to the Pleasant Bar, and it will definitely not be my last. I had heard they were hosting live entertainment from Nashville and decided to check it out. I was immediately impressedâgiven the location, I wasnât expecting such a beautiful indoor/outdoor venue, but it exceeded every expectation.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service was excellentâevery staff member I interacted with was friendly and attentive. The place was absolutely packed, which speaks volumes, yet everything ran smoothly.
The entertainment for the evening was Marshall Lowry, and he was nothing short of phenomenal. His performance created an unforgettable experience that elevated the entire night. Truly one of the best evenings out Iâve had in years.
The Pleasant Bar is a gem in every sense of the word. Ten out of tenâhighly recommended. If you ever have the chance to catch Marshall Lowry live, itâs a must. A big thank you to everyone at the Pleasant Bar. I will...
Read moreStopped in because I was passing by, and was surprised, both good and bad. The good. PBar as it's called, has a very friendly staff, good prices, a large space, plenty of parking around back, and a garage door in the back for some fresh air, more on that later. We had pickle french fries, onion rings, Italian hoggie, and 1/2 pound hamburger. All though everything was frozen and out of a bag it was good, but not special. The place was packed and very smokey. Access was good from the back lot, but not from the street. With the current state of beer selection, this place was not great. The bad. Smoking, average food, and street parking, but parking in the lot behind is good. The kitchen is completely open to the bar so you can watch the cook and staff make your order, but it's exposed to all of the smoke from the bar. I probably won't be back, but it's not on my side of town anyway. Definitely a beer and a shot...
Read more2nd time going since it has been sold and reopened under new ownership. Really disappointed. My wife got the Italian hoagie and fries: the fries were frozen and the waitress told us there was an option to get fresh fries - why offer terrible frozen fries. The Italian hoagie; cheese was still cold, bun was a poor attempt at toasted and the meat inside was cool at best and without much flavor. I ordered the steak hoagie and the steak was cooked so long it was dry and tasteless. We ordered onion rings as a side and they were also from frozen and for $6 you would think they were made in-house. As I said disappointed as this neighborhood bar is trying to be transformed into an overpriced mid-scale restaurant as the prices would indicate as well as portions and all the food being served ala carte. This same owner also operates the monkey bar which is 100% better and still a neighborhood...
