I went in this morning to confirm name of bartender last night... and the new bartender says she heard about me... smh I let her know kindly I would be letting others know on yelp... I guess she thought it would be amusing to write a message to me on yelp... in my words...saying she couldn't wait to read it... THAT WASN'T PROFESSIONAL... So this is a copy and paste from my review... This is the second time, I've been there. I had a amazing time.... Both times.. drinks are inexpensive... the place is a small hole in the wall with all the entertainment you need music, TV, darts, and pool tables they even have games. The people who were there (drinking) made me feel comfortable they were friendly..... The reason for my 1 star is solely on the bartender Kelly... I came alone not from this area and drove 6 hours to visit. First chance I get to sit an relax with a drink and I had the worst customer service. Long story short I was accused of urinating on the bathroom floor. It's a one man bathroom not stalls... I was outside when she approach the door yelling at me.... Calling me inappropriate names... I am NOT THAT TYPE OF PERSON. EMBARRASSED THAT OUT OF ALL THE DRUNK AND UNSTABLE PEOPLE SHE ACCUSED ME. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't get drunk and belligerent nor did I this time. She was inappropriate for conducting herself in the way she did, disrespectful and rude. Check my reviews... I'm a honest person... I WILL NOT BE VISITING THERE AGAIN. I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. ITS A SHAME... Not sure if this had anything to do with it but a guy told me I look like another girl that's been there that gets...

It’s very rare I leave a review for a bar. If ever. But this one is well deserved.

I was staying up the street and had a long couple days, so wanted a chill place to have a drink.

I stumbled upon a fantastic local watering hole, where you can tell the same folks come here, and for good reason. Good ambience, a few bar games, a digital jukebox, reasonable drink prices… but the service is where this place really hooked me.

(Forgive the spelling) Saren was my bartender and made me feel at home. As a career bartender, I can be somewhat hyper-critical of service from a fellow tender. She not only takes the time to talk to you individually, but immediately turns on the fast-paced service when the bar inevitably picks up when the place across the street lets out from an event.

I recommend this bar to anyone whether a group or individuals. There’s enough to do, people to talk to, and the service is second to none. I’ll be sure to book my next stay in the Bay close to here on purpose...

It all depends on who is there. If you bring your own friends then it depends on how much you like those friends I guess but the crowd is completely erratic. You never have any idea who or what type of crowd (or any at all) will be there. It's like throwing dice. I have definitely had fun there sometimes and I have also been bored out of my mind other times. Occasionally there are even hostile crowds but I certainly wouldn't say often enough to describe the bar as a hostile place. You really just never know what you are going to get. It also depends a bit on who is dominating the jukebox. It is definitely a dive bar and I think that is it's appeal for most of the people that like it. It's tiny and dark... Really dark. Make sure to wait for the ugly lights to come on before you take someone home from there or you might wake up to a surprise. It's definitely a lot more fun if you make friends with the bartender though so if you find one you like then figure out their schedule...
