My sister and I have been coming to Plymouth every summer for our entire lives, and we’re fiercely loyal to our seasonal coffee tradition at Marylou’s. We are hard pressed to disrupt that, since we don’t have it during the colder months. That said, Plimoth General Store has us driving past Marylous and making the 20 minute drive there and back—it is SO good.
Yesterday, we popped in for coffee and were completely blown away. My sister ordered the Toasted Coconut specialty iced coffee, and I went for the Maple Brown Sugar. Both came topped with cold foam and matching garnishes—coconut for hers, cinnamon for mine. They were so good we practically inhaled them. I’ll admit it: the Toasted Coconut was the clear winner, and I’m heading back today for one in a bigger size.
I also grabbed the Mayflower Melt turkey sandwich—excellent from the first bite. I was on the fence about ordering, but the lovely employee who helped us, Olivia, mentioned that any sandwich could be made as a half. Genius! It was just enough to try without feeling too committed.
Speaking of Olivia—she was superb. Warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, she walked us through the coffee menu, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience even better. Thanks Olivia!
And then there’s the store itself—coffee plus shopping? Yes, please. We wandered through their beautifully curated merchandise and left thinking about all the people we need to tell about this hidden gem.
10/10—Plimoth General Store is easily my new favorite coffee...
Read moreIf you're anywhere near Plymouth and not stopping by the Plimouth General Store, you're seriously missing out. This charming spot somehow manages to feel like a cozy local secret and a culinary powerhouse all at once. The service? Impeccable. Friendly faces, fast service, and the kind of genuine hospitality that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in.
Now, let’s talk food — specifically, the Harvest Sandwich. This masterpiece is hands-down one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Chicken salad, cranberries, bacon and lettuce all come together on fresh, sourdough bread. Every bite was packed with flavor and care.
And the lemonades? Incredible. Refreshing, vibrant, and just sweet enough without being overpowering. Whether you go for the classic or one of their flavors, it’s the perfect drink to complement your meal — especially on a sunny afternoon.
Between the top-tier food and warm, attentive service, the Plimouth General Store is easily one of my favorite stops in the area. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or lingering over conversation, this place delivers every time. 10/10 – can’t wait...
Read moreMy wife brought me home takeout from here last night and said She loved the sandwiches so she decided to get me an Italian sub which is my favorite. The sub overall was delicious, hence the 2 star review but left a bad taste in my mouth as when I found out how much it was and the size and portion of it. I reached out just to confirm that this was in fact a $14 sub and that the proportions were correct. They reach out and said it was. I’m sorry but I just expected more and my sub to be full and not skimped (one slice per deli meat for a full sub. I ended up getting an Italian sub tonight from one of my favorite places “fork in the road” (pembroke) to remind me that not all Italians subs are equal in size or price . Last pic shown $10. I hate leaving bad reviews so call it constructive criticism. Work on price and portion at least for your Italian sub. Thanks for reaching out to Me to confirm that was the correct price and correct portion though before I left this review but I won’t be getting an Italian sub at least from here anymore. The last few bites of any sub shouldn’t...
