I heard about this new restaurant with amazing views of Plymouth Harbor and decided it was the place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We arrived for our 7 p.m. reservation and received a friendly greeting. It was a beautiful evening and the restaurant was extremely busy. They sat us in "The Alley" which is along the rail facing the harbor and right across from the bar. Definitely the spot to be. Jeff, our server greeted us immediately and although he was very busy with multiple tables did a great job of making sure we had our drinks and had the perfect amount of time to make our food selections. We ordered the Hamachi crudo as an appetizer to share. It came out quickly and was delicious. However, it is smaller than what we expected. The kitchen seemed like it was in the weeds as it took a good amount of time before our entrees arrived. For us, it wasn't that big of a deal as we were just enjoying the great views and weather. So relaxing. Our entrees were solid. My wife had the scallops and loved them. I had the ribeye steak frites and it was good. My only ding on this dish is the amount of sauce placed on the steak. Just a little too much for my liking. Some may love that though. All in all, we had an amazing time at Terrace Rooftop. It was a special anniversary and Jeff's terrific service and the overall experience made it that way.

STAY AWAY - went last nite - wife’s order was half portion and they admitted it & sent it back - The waitress was going to send a manager over, but he never did come over so I went to talk to him nicely - He came over and I asked him how the steak in the pic was cooked and he said ‘well done’ but I did not order it well done so he said he would replace that as well - 30 minutes later the waitress asked if we wanted another round of drinks - we said yes please because we had been there for an hour and a half - Then it started to rain so we went inside and the manager came over 20 minutes later and said he had to close the kitchen because of the weather (makes zero sense at 8:15pm) so I would not be getting my replacement steak or any dinner at all after being there almost 2 hours. I did question how they could re-cook her chicken appetizer, but could not cook my steak dinner after 40 minutes and he just stared at me and said he would comp the whole meal - I wonder who took home my steak last night? The dinner I ordered was the second most expensive item on the menu after the surf and turf, so we were going to be spending a lot of money there, but the attitude and poor service will keep us away
By the way, most of our friends did not like it there as well. Plymouth has so many great choices with better atmospheres to choose from
 Cheers!

So first off, I have to say me and my fiancĂ© decided to head to Plymouth to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the ocean on a beautiful day and happened to notice this place. We got upstairs to the hostess booth at which point we were told that because it was so busy they could not seat us, and were told that they could give us a call if something opened up . My fiancĂ© is 36 weeks pregnant and immediately upon receiving this information a man named Michael Stanford (restaurant concierge/manager of sorts) stepped out of nowhere to intervene, saying that he would get us seated. He immediately made us feel welcome and asked about how she was feeling and when the baby was due. He just made one of the strongest efforts I ever saw someone make at a restaurant to accommodate us and I could give a five star review solely based on that, but what came next was just as impressive. The view, the food, the wait staff, and everything else was just absolutely on point, and we were floored by the experience. I cannot say enough good things about this place, and we will be making a return as soon as we possibly can. Highly recommend the crab martini, the corn chowder, and the salmon dish. Mind blown. đŸ€Ż

Rooftop umbrella disaster. Would have liked to have had an enjoyable experience, but much to my dismay, it was an utter disappointment. We had reservations to be seated outside on a beautiful sunny hot day. It wasn’t busy at the time we went. We were seated and immediately noticed a couple tables that had not been cleaned off and that it was a bit windier than anticipated. However, we waited about 10 mins before the waitress came with water and took our drink and appetizer order. About an additional 10minutes later the waitress brought our drinks. My daughter was getting ready to take a pic and then a gust of wind came through and literally blew the umbrella over and it toppled on top of me and knocked my glass over and shattered it and spilled all over me and my daughter. Her drink was still in tact though. There were other people seated out there too and a young waiter who saw this happen!!! The waiter came and was like OMGOSH are you ok? I am so sorry this happened!!!

I was in shock as to what just happened. I saw my drink spilled all over the table and glass all over the floor, my pant leg soaked and my daughter’s dress was soaked. At this point I was making sure we didn’t get cut. The other customers that were seated out there started putting their umbrellas down. But how did this happened???? Our waitress was no where to be found. We went to the bathroom to dry off.

When we came back out I saw our waitress and she was going to walk right by us. I was like EXCUSE ME!! I don’t know if you know but the umbrella at our table just toppled over on us!! She was like oh no was anything broke!!! I was thinking LIKE WTF, how about asking are we ok??? Anyways I asked if we can be seated inside now instead. She was like sure. We was already disgusted and ready to leave but wanted to give it a shot.

Do you know she seated us and didn’t even come back to bring us new drinks or still didn’t even come back to ensure we were ok. NOR DID A MANAGER/SUPERVISOR COME OUT to ensure everything was ok. Not even sure if they even told a manager??? Still in shock, we sat there and literally contemplated do we even want to stay. We gathered ourselves and collected our thoughts in disgust and decided yeah we were leaving. I couldn’t even fathom giving them our business
That was just a really disappointing experience. Lack of customer service training and empathy and...

We had very high hopes for Terrace Rooftop as we were visiting for the first time today in the hopes of having our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding.

I’ve worked in restaurants for thirteen years and have genuinely never had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life.

It Started when we arrived and Mike at the hostess stand was visibly annoyed by any and all customers coming up to him because of how behind they were. I walked up and told him we had a reservation and he shook his head and in an extremely rude tone said “well you’re going to have to wait, we’re still trying to seat reservations 15 minutes before yours.” I understand being behind and being frustrated but not quite sure how you are set to greet guests and can’t separate yourself from the frustration to do your job and provide exceptional customer service. Finally got seated about 20 minutes after our reservation was set for.

Little did we know, that was only the start of our troubles. Our server came over shortly after we sat down and took our drink and appetizer order. We thought things would be smooth sailing from here but nope!

We ordered the shrimp and Brussels sprouts as appetizers. This took over an hour to come out. Our meals took almost two hours to come out. And when it did, no apologies or anything.

Every food runner we saw bringing food to the tables seemed confused as to which food was going where and almost every time they came out with food, they would walk up to multiple tables and it was clear they didn’t know where the food was supposed to go and would return to the kitchen to ask again. We were finally able to leave around 9:20 after getting our food much later than expected. This place is extremely mismanaged.

The rooftop view is cool but not worth the overpriced food and extremely long wait times. Definitely has the potential to be a really cool spot. But Whether it’s a date night, casual dinner or you’re planning on having a private event here, I would stay far away from this place until they get their...

TL/DR Ryan, the “manager” is extremely rude and created a bad environment and first impression for their establishment.

Be careful going here if Ryan, their “manager” is in house. If he is there, your experience will be a lot worse. We were waiting out at the host desk (as it says wait to be seated) for over 10 minutes. Which, okay, it happens. BUT when someone does come out it’s Rude Ryan and he is pissed for no reason. He comes out, no greeting or smiles or anything welcoming. The first thing he says to us is “can I help you” in a rude and condescending tone. Then without letting anyone in my party answer he ask “do you have a reservation”. My friend had said no and said that she had called earlier and had asked if they take walk-ins and that the person on the phone confirmed they did. He then proceeds, without a word, to aggressively pick up the menus and walk away. Did not say “okay follow me” or “right this way” , nothing. We decided to follow him anyways. When he gets to the table he slams the menus down and then walks away. We sit down and he comes back and starts filling our waters up while splashing it all over the table and then not filling up my friends water. Doesn’t come back to clean up his spilt water OR continue to fill my friends water. He just goes walking off. Did not say “your waiter will be right with you” just an overall rude vibe. And it’s not like he didn’t walk past us about three times after that, before our waitress even got to the table. Just actively ignored us and the mess he caused. And it wasn’t like it was crazy busy, there were open seats all over the place. But even then, it does not give him the right to behave like this. He seemed slightly nicer to the white patrons so maybe he was unable to mask his unnecessary bias and blatant racism.

Our waitress was a sweetheart and the food was fine for the price, but we could barely enjoy it because we just felt too uncomfortable. We just wanted to...
