i was in this past thursday (04/11) with my significant other. from the moment we entered to leaving, it was terrible.
a guy opened the doors around 3:30, he saw us, just unlocked the doors and went back inside. so...no greeting? no welcoming the customers? customers should be welcomed each time, especially if they're waiting at the door. i'm not saying stand there for every single person, but whoever is waiting, at least say hello and welcome them in. it's not difficult to do.
the hostess was the same way - not very welcoming. the tone she used was unenthusiastic. my s/o always chooses a steak at the case, and she couldn't be bothered to walk over and take his order. her attitude was disgraceful. we were seated, and no bread was ever served. i could've asked but why should i? it's their job.
we happened to be seated not far from where the guy (who opened the doors) was sitting at a table with his phone in his hand and drinking something. so your phone is too important rather than customer service for which you applied to work.
we order our food, and our steaks were overdone and charred, my salad had old lettuce and the tomatoes were mushy, and there was barely anything to the salad - lettuce and tomatoes, and the mixed vegetables my s/o received had two broccoli florets and the rest were all carrots. we have never received food like that, and we always ordered the same in the past.
the waitress erred on the check, and when we mentioned that we wanted to split the check, she had no idea what to do.
there are signs stapled on the walls near some of the tables that claim that customers will receive "legendary service" and "legendary food". is that so? what we received was below subpar and got charged $73 for poor service and food. it's better to take those signs down and reevaluate the people that work there and the food. it's quite brazen of a restaurant to call their service/food legendary. if that's the case, everything that the place has to offer had better be legendary and never anything less each and every single time.
now, we simply could have left indeed, however i felt it was necessary to stay and witness all, and to share it here.
we will...
Read moreMy husband and I love Texas Road House! A few months ago we had an uncomfortable experience inside the restaurant which is located in 20 Shops at 5 Way, Plymouth, MA 02360 The waitress who served us was very harassing with us since we looked at the menu, we felt pressured to choose quickly, we tried to have a nice time, but we could not eat in peace, she did not let us talk, she approached the table multiple times, more than usual, she also asked us multiple times if we wanted a box when we were still eating. In addition to all that we also had a visit from the manager, which was the 15th death after so many interactions, that day we were really uncomfortable and did not enjoy our meal at all. since that day my husband and I thought about not eating at Texas road house again, no matter how much we like their meats! two months have passed since that incident. But yesterday November 6 at 4pm we decided to give the restaurant a chance, with a lot of trepidation.
The person who served us was DEREK. He was very Kind to us , we loved his service , he is charismatic , polite ,friendly and Fast , He is perfect!
We are very happy to have met DEREK and we plan to return the days he is in the restaurant. I hope this feedback helps you communicate to the guys the importance of good service, it's not just about going to the table several times, it's also important to observe if the customer's mouth is full? Is the customer talking, is he still enjoying his meal? Or have you finished eating? Giving customers time to read the Menu, enjoy the food and the atmosphere is important, we are not old people, but we appreciate our time when eating.
With nothing more to...
Read moreThe restaurant was extremely busy, I was able to find a seat at the bar and was greeted fairly quickly by Sarah. I placed my drink order and when my drink came I placed my food order. I ordered a New York strip medium with baked potato (not loaded) and chili.
About 20 minutes went by. I received my New York strip with mashed potatoes loaded with stuff on top. I promptly told the food runner that I never received my chili and I had ordered a baked potato not mashed. She apologized, a few minutes later someone brought out the chili, so I started in on the chili and it was actually not even hot, I was unable to grab anyone's attention so I ate the chilli as is. I then cut into my steak and was surprised to find it was over cooked the roadhouse typically gets medium with a hot pink center this was more like medium well again The bartender(s) were too busy to check on me so I ate the steak as it was and it was still good but actually needed steak sauce for some flavor, this is not usually the case when cooked medium. I ate the entire steak and still had not received a mashed potato or ever once offered bread. I finally was able to grab Sarah's attention and told her I was still waiting on a baked potato, And I would like some rolls. She was able to grab these for me fairly quickly and the baked potato was good the rolls were very doughy telling me they could have used another minute in the oven. I will probably avoid this Texas Roadhouse when it's busy It seems like the staff is overwhelmed and my food suffers. I have never had a bad Texas Roadhouse experience but today was probably my worst experience at a restaurant in the last...
