So I just want to start by saying I am super super unhappy with my experience here after be a local living in the area and a Veteran of the United States Army honorable discharge for my service. I truly believed I was racially discriminated against here by the owner of this establishment. So after have a wonderful evening on my first date with a wonderful young lady. We decided to stop by here to finish our night getting to know each other. We get ice cream and see that the tables are messy with napkins and melted ice cream and loud and obnoxious teenagers one table away from the only table open. So we decided it’s a nice night let’s walk to the inlet and sit there talk for a bit much more peaceful that way. As we are walking back I see a tow truck in from of my car. Sign says for customers only which we where they close at 11pm it is 10:39pm still have 21 mins till they closes and the workers get to leave for the night. Before we walked to the inlet the owners walk by us while we were waiting to get the ice cream said hello and went about his evening. So I walk up to him say hey sir what is going on he said we tow the car out of here after we close remember they close at 11pm. He said they watch the cameras cause they didn’t see anyone there. But he saw me get out of my car in the camera had to have called them at 10:30 pm in order for the truck to be ready to pull off with my car at 10:39pm. 21 mins before they have to lock the gate the owner excuse was he didn’t want to be there till 1pm waiting for me to get there my dates car was there too she is a beautiful Italian woman with a black man. Of course my car is getting hooked up first long story short I have to pay $65 dollar too have the tow to pull the thing out from under my car it wasn’t even lifted and on top of that I get a ticket for having my car in the customer parking as well. I will never go here again and as long as I live. For the pure disrespect point creamy and Sunday or even dairy cream is way freaking better too they are like 6 mins away from this establishment. God bless everyone who reads this and I would stay away from this place if you don’t want to support a racist and a non supporter of veterans in the United States of America 🇺🇸 we fought for these kind of people and Idk how the owner can go to sleep with himself at night. 🖖
P.S. Officer 1516 badge number said they did this 4 other times this week. Won’t say what else he said cause he was cool just doing his job protecting the public outstanding job he did. I thank him for his professionalism and being a genuine human being and his service for being in...
Read moreWhat a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! Amazing ice cream, service is phenomenal and the vibe is pure Point Beach chill. We always enjoyed Strollos before, but Saltys has taken things to a new level. You can absolutely tell they spend time with their staff, the customer service is outstanding. They have a lot of high school kids working and sometimes that can be hit or miss but not here, great job training your employees, refreshing to see such good customer service these days. Your staff is amazing!
Now onto the ice cream, so many great flavors but here are some of our favorites (yes we're quickly becoming regulars, tough to stay away). You cant go wrong with the salted caramel pretzel or the chocolate peanut butter, both loaded! The blueberry cheesecake however might be one of the best ice creams I've ever tasted, it literally tastes just like the best blueberry cheesecake you've ever had. My usual go to flavor would be something with chocolate but I keep coming back to the bb cheesecake. Their tsunamis (think blizzard from DQ) are phenomenal and again, loaded. Also, their portions are huge! For the $ they are one of the few great deals still left. Huge menu and always have new flavors coming in. Highly recommended!
There are several good ice cream spots in town but Saltys is now our favorite by far, great service, great ice cream...
Read moreIce cream is great. Absolutely no issues with the product. The concern is the service. Tonight there were many young girls working and almost all of them had VERY short shorts on. So short that when they reached over to get the hard ice cream all you see is cheeks. It was very uncomfortable as I was visiting with my mom, I’d rather not see someone’s butt cheeks while I’m waiting for food, and there were a couple families with kids as well. Possibly impose a minimum short length? I’m not exaggerating when I say cheeks were in plain sight.
Additionally, at least one girl and guy employee did not know what $20 minus $17.50 was. The girl checking us out closed the register before she could see how much change was due - she asked her male coworker how much was due and he didn’t know either. I’m assuming they’re at least in high school and don’t know simple math? We had to tell them the change that was due. Thankfully we’re...
