Lily's Tacos — Restaurant in Pomona

I was in the neighborhood with my daughter and wanted to try something new. Saw the reviews on this place so we decided to have lunch there. We liked it. We ordered the carnitas taco plate and combination chicken burrito. Good flavor for both. I asked my daughter if she would ever like to come here again and she said "Definitely." Went home and told my wife about it. She wanted to try. Came back for dinner. Ordered the Chile Verde plate, quesadilla, and chicken enchiladas plate. Everything was good. My favorite was the Chile Verde. I asked my wife if she would ever like to come here again and she said "Yes." In both visits the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the prices were better than other places I've been to in the area. I recommend. It's been a month or two since my initial post. I've been back with my daughter for breakfast. She had the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito. I had the potato and chorizo breakfast burrito. These are now my favorite items on the menu. So very good.

Stopped by for a quick bite based on the reviews. However my experience was sub par to say the least. First, there was only one customer and it took the cashier several minutes to ring him up. He called out the customers order to a lady that was on the phone at a table and she seemingly ignored him and he said, "hey" to which she didn't flinch. The ambiance is terrible, it was hot, quiet and just seemed like not much business came through. I ordered the combination burrito with carne asada and asked for salsa on the side. The burrito came with rice, beans, onion and cilantro. It was served in a Styrofoam clamshell with a few chips and a small side of beans. The chips seemed a little stale and the beans were just ok. When the server presented my food, he took a phone call as I received it and I assumed my salsa was in the container however I was wrong, my fault for not checking, I guess. Got treated horribly by the owner. I hired her for $800.00 for a party and she came at 3pm two hours early and accused me of breaking the contract when that was not true. The contract was for 5:00pm not 3:00pm as she insisted. Because I didn't have the copy of the contract on hand she took advantage and left mad and upset. It put me in a bad situation and then I looked for the contract and I found it. I was right it was for 5:00pm as I indicated. She has an anger issue and should not accuse clients without any proof. I ended up giving her $100.00 extra on top of the $800.00 when she was accusing me of breaking the contract because I didn't want my party to go bad. So I paid $900.to a person with a bad attitude.
