Taste of the food: The food straight up tastes like high school pizza. The sauce lacks any richness. It’s missing the tomato flavor that literally 99% of other pizzas have. The crust is good and crispy, but only if they cook it for the right amount of time. Sometimes you get undercooked crust. The crust is good if they do it right. Cheese tastes cheap. Overall, with the bland tomato sauce and the cheap cheese, you gotta do a lot of work with the toppings to get your pizza to taste good.
Cost: This place is trying to milk every cent out of you. I ordered a margarita pizza for $12 and before I paid, I asked them if they could add “just a pinch of onion” and that added $2 to the total. Since when does “a pinch of onion” (they added around 15 of the small onion cubes total, literally a “pinch”) cost $2 extra dollars?
Staff can be very unprofessional at times. I’ve been here a few times and the staff have just gotten ruder each time I went.
Overall, I do not ever plan on returning. The combination of greedy business practices and the low quality tomato sauce/cheese don’t make it worth the effort. There are so many other pizza places, even “build your own” pizza places like Rise Pie, in the area that have pizzas with a more rich taste, for similar if not lower prices. My main criticism of Rise Pies is too low quality food for...
Read moreWe visited on Sunday 8/7... the pizza was good and the resturant was clean. The lady working the cash register was great. Very friendly, polite and really tried to help with a situation where there was a misunderstanding on my part about the menu. The lady working the cash register was doing her best to help me fix the situation. She suggested that I could just pay the price difference and they could make the order the other way and even told me it wasn't a big deal and that they would just eat the pizza that was wrong. So I gave her my money and she asked people cooking to make the newly ordered pizza. The reason I'm giving only 3 stars is because one of the people cooking was beyond rude. I was told that his name is Ed. Ed went out of his way to stick his nose into the conversation I was having with the cashier and refused to remake the order even after the cashier offered that as a solution and had given me the higher price and collected the money. He was rude to me as the customer and he was extremely rude to his coworker. I ended up just telling the cashier to forget remaking it because I didn't want her to have problems with Ed after the fact if she pushed it with him. He clearly has no respect for his coworkers. I would not recommend this resturant based on Ed's behavior towards customers and...
Read moreThis is a regular stop for us, and here's why:
Great quality pizza in this category - fast, assembled in front of you, build your own or one of the menu items. We like that it usually takes less than 10 min to get our food. The crust and sauce options are simple and tasty; sort of a solid basic thing you need to have for a quick pizza base. The toppings are always fresh and well-managed (nothing frozen, nothing wilted or looking like it's seen better days).
They have vegan cheese, and I like to have that option. I don't eat dairy or meat, and they do a nice job of building my pizza and avoiding touching it with other foods or gloves that have been handling regular dairy or meat. That's not a major issue for me, but I like it when a restaurant trains their employees to care.
The staff at this location are incredible. They are unfailingly friendly and always make it right if there's anything wrong with your experience. They started recognizing us after we came in a few times, and now they have our orders memorized and it feels nice to have that feeling of warmth and recognition when we walk in. They also have remained super cheerful and respectful even when dealing with pandemic issues, restrictions,...
