Great rooms at a fabulous location! Overall, this HI is a happy stay that occasionally misses the mark (EV/Tesla drivers, check the end of the review!). Let's start with the rooms though, they give you plenty of space and are well furnished. The showers are fantastic too, with a nice curved door and no tub -- that makes it easy to get in to and makes it feel more spacious. The amenities downstairs are clean and modern looking, and of course, you're so close to the Texas Roadhouse that you can walk on over to pick up your order, even if you want to bunker in for the night. You of course have the outlets right there at your doorstep if you want to do lots of shopping, but Pooler Parkway is strewn with strip malls, so you choices for restaurants, road food, and other retail distractions. Staffing is probably the biggest inconsistency for me. Checking in at night we had one gentleman who seemed overwork (dealing with a customer complaint I think). He was friendly, but didn't give us the checklist of amenities and opening times. The next time we checked in, we had a gentleman that didn't seem like he wanted to be there. he DID give us times for the bar, dinner and breakfast, but he was also eating popcorn and enjoying a long personal call on his cell set to speakerphone. Of course, if all you need is a room to crash in, these are mostly temporary concerns, and morning check-outs were the sort of engaged professionalism you expect out of a hotel. Drive an EV? So do I. On the plus side, there is EV charging here, with two easily accessible spots at the front. Both visits showed that guests mostly respected the EV spaces and tried not to ICE them. However, the posts the chargers were mounted too was wobbly and loose, and though both chargers showed power flowing they would not engage with my Tesla when plugged in (in all fairness, I don't know if it was the charger or my J1772 adapter -- I will have to confirm my end). In short, the EV charging may or may not be working for you. IF YOU DRIVE A TESLA, HOWEVER -- this is still a fantastic place to stop and rest. Why? Because you take one left turn to put yourself back on Pooler Parkway and you go straight down for 5.5 miles to get to the Pooler Supercharger -- still my favorite stop in GA. You've got a fantastic bank of 250kW superchargers and a clean, well run Parker's Kitchen on the very same road as the outlets. Can't ask for much better than that.

My family and I stayed from 7/18-7/20 for a family reunion. During that time; we changed rooms 3 times, the first time was due to the toilet not working and air wasnt working. The second time (which is absolutely disgusting), my mother and I were so tired due to the move and drive that we ended up going to bed on top of the sheets. Well the next morning we woke up and something told me look at the sheets and blanket. Well my blanket had blood on it and my moms bed had bodily fluids POOP (pic below). I went downstairs and explained to who I thought was the manager the issue; she said a team would come in and change the linen on both beds and offer more points on my IHG account. We left and came back 6 hours later AND IT STILL hadnt been done. I went downstairs VERY ANGRY and demanding a full refund and to be moved to another room. The guy at the front desk said that he didn’t give the approval on the refund; but he could move us. We got ANOTHER room and it appeared to be clean and it wasnt. The toilet had poop splatters and the tub was disgusting. I called downstairs and asked for housekeeping to clean the tub and toilet. Well, the guy brings me Spic N Span, toilet bowl scrubber and gloves. I called the IHG 800 number and made a complaint and asked the general manager to call me. Well its been almost 3 days and no one has called me. I will call tomorrow but in the meantime; please see the pics below! I will NEVER stay at a IHG again. (BTW, quite a few of me family members had to be moved due to ants in the bed, room issues, etc.)

Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly and kind, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the condition of the room. After a long day of travel that included a cancelled flight, I was completely exhausted. When I finally arrived and walked into the room, I noticed food on the floor. I figured maybe the vacuuming had just been missed. But then I went into the bathroom and found hair all over the toilet—it was clear it hadn’t been properly cleaned. That’s when I started to feel uneasy and checked the beds. One had a red stain on it, the pillows had black streaks, and there was hair between the comforter and sheets on both beds (I had a two-king room). I texted the provided number to let them know the room was dirty, but it was late, and I was too exhausted to deal with it further. I wish I’d brought it up in person, but at that point, I just didn’t have the energy. To make things a bit more frustrating, my receipt at checkout showed $179.02, but my bank is now showing a charge of $204. I’m not sure what the difference is, but either way, it feels like a steep price for a room that wasn’t properly cleaned.

When arriving to the hotel for my daughter’s birthday celebration I was told we would be able to check in early due to rooms not being clean. I didn’t mind but wanted to verify that 2 rooms reserved were going to be side by side. I had spoken with a gentleman after being on phone all day the day before looking for a hotel that could accommodate that and he was very helpful and assured me that was possible and they would definitely do so. I even let him know I didn’t not want to book if he wasn’t absolutely certain and again he assured me. When I verified with front desk after arriving I was met with there’s no way they could do that. That there wasn’t 2 rooms side by side available. The closest I would get would be 201 and 212. I then expressed my frustrations and was met with no apology or recognition of it being their mistake etc instead I wasn’t able met with an attitude and very rude customer service. At the time there was another lady expressing her frustration of being given a standard room when she paid for a suite. I wasn’t able unable to check in until 3:30 but they were able to make the rooms across from each other and I expressed my gratitude for doing so. That evening I needed milk for my youngest to go to sleep and went down to restaurant to get some. I stood at the counter waiting to ask about some in the front case. After several minutes of the lady walking back and forth with check, change, empty plates from the only table in there she finally looks at me and says if you want something you have to order it at the bar and walks away. So I walk to bar. I wait there for several minutes as bartender is busy. He then looks at me and tells me he will be right with me. He continues to pint out checks, makes drinks, cash others out and practically clears the bar. I’ve been there 10mins at least now but figures he is just bad at multitasking. Another gentleman walks up to the now almost empty bar and bartender waits on him and starts making a drink. I tell them nevermind I’ll go to the store so I loaded up my daughter and left hotel to go get milk. This was my second time staying there. The first time I had 2 glasses of wine at bar and threw up half the night and woke up hungover the next day. I don’t do that after a whole...

I was upgraded from a regular king room to a suite upon arrival. After 10 hours of driving we were looking forward to a hot shower and comfortable bed.

PROS

excellent black out blinds

new hotel

exceptionally clean

paid fruit cup was fresh

great towels

everything is new

CONS

no free breakfast

price and taste of most of the breakfast items left much to be desired

NO shower pressure

no bench in shower only a tiny ledge

bed was hard and uncomfortable

I was very surprised of the extremely poor shower pressure, considering how new this hotel is. The pressure was the WORST I have ever experienced and the bed was the least comfortable Holiday Inn bed I have slept in. Although the shower looked inviting with it's modern design - it was awful. The pressure out of the sink tap was stronger. To top it off the shower head was placed very very high up and no matter which shower head setting was used the pressure did not increase. I'm not sure who chooses the shower fixtures or designs the shower......... a bench that is reachable would be helpful as would a shower wand.

Not much to say about the bed - the linens were ok but the bed itself was hard - not the soft Holiday Inn Express beds I have slept in over the last few years.

This as well was the smallest "suite" I've stayed in - the layout left much to be desired.

After sharing the issues I had when checking out the clerk noted she would provide us with 1000 points for the 'inconveniences" we experienced. To date there have been no points deposited into our...
